Agree, Siwi. It was so hard to see that one coming. From winning the extremely hard Volta do Parana in 2010 to extremely dominating this year at La Vuelta a San Luis, La Vuelta de Chile and a podium at La Vuelta Independencia. I hope he is demoted from his victory at San Luis. Would be nice to see Serpa winning after so many second places this season.

Just shows you the effect of doping. A 35 years old unknown Chilean rider can suddenly win the Tour de San Luis, ahead of riders like Serpa, and dominate the Tour de Chile and ends 3rd in the Vuelta Independencia Nacional. |

And don't forget to trust ex-dopers who're as strong, if not stronger, when they're back from their bans. |

I wouldn't call a TDF podium a major suckage, no matter what the rider's palmares might be.
Some people'd kill to achieve that much. |

To be fair, I'd forgotten about that.... I was more thinking last season. But hey ho, in comparison to all he achieved before hand, you could say he wasn't as good. |

I dont suppose he will finish all 3, but riding the Giro is definately a good move - Giro stage wins ranking points count to the Worlds rider qualifications, when Vuelta stage wins dont, afterall - and thats all the more important with the flat course this year - plus it helps with Olympics qualification for next year.
And Goss will probably still get some changes in the GTs, despite the regular presence of Cavendish

From the cyclingnews article I couldn't tell If he would finish the giro. He focusingnon the early stages so I'm assuming He will drop when they hit the mountains. |

Matti Breschel will miss the classics this season. He is not fit yet after his knee operation in November. His try in the Algarve last week wasn`t very good for him.
He also might miss the Tour as Gesink will go for the win and so he needs helpers with an excellent form.
Now he is focussing for the Worlds in Danmark, where he wants the gold medal. |

Sucks for him. I was looking forward to seeing him on his own cobbles team, but for the rest of the non-cobble classics Rabo can easily fill the open slot.

X2 for Valverde, but if he's fit for the World Champs, I'm happy |

RCS seems to be trying to find a way not to invite Vacansoleil to the Giro:
Under a bilateral agreement between major organisers and the UCI, the 18 ProTeams registered for 2011 have been invited to ride all the races on the World Tour Calendar, with the race organisers allowed to award up to four other wild card invitations.
However, Cyclingnews understands that Vacansoleil's place could be at risk. The Dutch team has sacked Riccardo Riccò' and has opted not to race Ezequiel Mosquera until his positive for hydroxyethyl starch is resolved but its ProTeam status could be at risk.

I think that Spain itself is ready and at the forefront of anti-doping
Alberto can surely be a good laugh when he wants.
