I gained promotion in season one thanks to Ventoso winning many small races finishing 1st in continental rankings and Sella finishing 7th.
I signed sprinters Matthew Goss and Gavazzi and climbers Uran and Matthew Lloyd. Lofkvist was signed for the shorter Protour tours.
Season 2 went pretty well as I focussed on doing well in smaller races did not enter the first 2 grand tours. Top performers were
Lofkvist (CTT rank 8th)- V. Espana 4th, D Libere 1st, T Adriatico 3rd
Lloyd (27th)- Tour of Australia 4th, V Espana 20th
Gavazzi (66th)- GP Pologne 6th ovr, points jersey winner
Tour de Pacardie 1st ovr, pts winner
M Goss- 4stage victories incl 1 at V Espana
I focussed on bringing in good team trialists to help leaders in TTT- Kiryienko, Grabovsky, Kenavolavos, Figlsang and climbers Peuwels and deignan to help in mountains. I really wanted someone able to at least challenge for top honours in Giro but those I wanted wanted to high wages so I settled for another sprinter- Rojas Gil.
This is my squad.
Overall Season Ambitions/plans
Lofkvist- Top 3 in Vuelta, high finsher in early PTT tours
Rojas- Main sprinter for Giro
Goss- Lead out man in Giro, main sprinter in TDF
Kiryienko- top 10 in Giro
13 January- Aussie Champs
main hope: Matthew Lloyd for 4th/5th
Result
1- Michael Rogers
2- Richie Porte
3- Graeme Brown
4- Allan Davis 5- Matthew Lloyd
19-24 Jan Tour Down Under
[not much detail going into this one as with fitnesses of riders all over the place seems more down to luck than skill who wins here'
main hope: Gavazzi for sprints and possibly overall as he's not bad on hills
Favs for sprints: Farrar, Bennati, Hushovd
Stage 1- sprint finish surprisingly won by the youngster
1- Keukeleire
2- Hushovd 3- Gavazzi
Stage 2- Breakaway not quite caught but no time given between breakawy and peleton
Stage 5- I sent Kenavolovas out to try win the k.o.m. A number of riders were well down overall due to the hard chase on stage 2 so the group was allowed to get away. None of the teams were strong enough to chase them down so in the end a comfortable win for
1- Wegmann 2- Kenavalovas (1'02)
3- Weening (3'02)
4- Facci
5- Marcato
6- S Sanchez
7- S Devolder
Stage 6- another sprint finish. Kenavolovas finishing safely in the pack to hold on to ovr victory
Lofkvist won this race last year. Sella and Deignan would lead the teams efforts this year. Sella obviously has the better pedigree but Doignan had better form as he'd ridden the tour down under, so I was unsure who would do better. In the end Deignan was stronger but not strong enough as they finished 3rd and 5th respectively
1- Plaza
2- Verganov 3- Deignan
4- Eibegger 5- Sella
07-12/02 Tour of Qatar
Last year Goss won the points title for me. This year I stacked the team with time trialists to see if I could get an overall victory as well. Rojas Gil would be team leader. It would not be easy as there was a strong sprinting lineup incl favs Farrer, Greipel and Cavendish.
Stage 2- Not a bad start for Rojas' Carmooiro career but Cavendish is too strong
1- Cavendish (HTC)
2- Bas (HTC)
3- Heyman
4- Rojas Gil
Stage 3- Cavendish strangely looks to hold on to yellow jersey so team mate Vaitkus is lead out by Roulston to victory

Good luck...but why you don´t download at least the real name DB?or the Daily2011DB?...would be more fun to read..
I meant this to be a game to see the changes from 2009 to 2010 so hadn't bothered. Reason the games taken so long is i kept hoping for a patch 1.5.1. Anyway seen as things have gone pretty well
I've not started a new game.
Vuelta Mallorca 7-11 Feb
Had a decent time last season with Lloys finishing 3rd and Uran 9th. Sella and Deignan would be looking to do well in overall classification
Stage 1 (favs Boonen, Hushovd, Bennati)
1- Boonen
2- Swift
3- Napilolitano
4- Fernandes
5- Steegmans
Stage 2
1- Boonen
2- Napolitano
3- Hushovd
4- Weyland
5- Swift
Stage 3 (favs S Sanchez, Valverde, F Schleck, Anton)
Schleck, Valverde and S Sanchez are first over the final mountain. Anton, Kreuziger and Sella are with them. 45 seconds behind is a group incl
Valls, sastre, L L Sanchez and Deignan. The two groups finsihed together with Gasparatto taking the sprint
with 72km to go the breakaway which included horner had 6min lead. With 35 km to go it's 3'30. With 18km to go it was down to 1'40. With the hard chasing over the hilly terrain only one recognised sprinter was in the lead group of 35 or so and he takes a comfortable victory.
1- Swift
2- S Sanchez (2nd ovr)
3- De La Fuente
4- Gasparatto (1st ovr)
Sella drops to 3rd.
Stage 5
simmed this one cos it kept crashing
1- Sella
2- Gasparatto
3- Verdugo
Overall- Not too bad from my second stringers although they had had more racing than the big boys
1- Gasparatto 2- Sella
3- S Sanchez
4- De La Fuente 5- Deignan
Vuelta Algarve
Last season Lofkvist finished behind Valverde and Gilbert. My aim was to keep him close and count on a strong final stage TT to get the victory. Sella would be his main ally in the hills. Best sprinters entering were Hushovd, Bennati and Hausller. Anton, Cunego and Lofkvist the best climbers.
Stage 1- the escape group is caught too late for sprinters to organise themselves as well as they'd liked.
Lovkvist is feeling strong so asks kiryenko to push up the final hill. Only Cunego goes with. At the summit they have 2 minutes over chasers.
With 17 km to go the lead is down to 1'02 and 55 are chasing. They are caught. Will this wasted effort come back to haunt the 3?
1- Anton
2- Ballan
3- Pizzato
4- Chavanel
Stage 3
With 5km to go Vunego and Flecha lead by 23 seconds from Bertagnoli. The chasers are 32 seconds further back.
Devenyms attacks and Sella and Lofkvist are amongst those who counter
1- Anton
2- Devenyms 3- Lovkvist 4- Sella
5- Cunego
Stage 4
With 60km to go the breakaway of 6 men has a 9 min lead. Sutton and Leezer are the biggest names in the group. Still having confidence in Lofkvist to win thanks to the time trial I was happy to not chase.
Favourites Sagan and Capecchi fight it out with sagan just to quick at the death
1- Sagan
2- Capecchi
3- Startoni
Vuelta Andalucia
Deignan will be team leader but with a time trial a high finish will be tough. Ventoso and Gavazzi will challenge in the sprints. Van Avermeet and Ginnani will challenge them while Sastre, Cappechi and P Martins are the best climbers who have entered.
Stage 1
With a hilltop finish Deignan looks to make the most of his early season form
1- Deignan
2- Capechhi
3- Riblon
4- Sastre ('10)
Stage 2
A day for the sprinters. Goddaert hit the front but faded. Casper finished between the 2 Carmiooro riders.
1- Ventoso
2- Casper 3- Gavazzi
Stage 3
Uran attacked on the first mountain. The group of 5 including Carrera and van avrmeet had a minute at the summit of the first climb and 4 mins at the top of the second. The chasing pack was down to 54 men includin Deignan. The gap stayed constant until the 45 km mark. With 25 km to go Carrera lead ahead of a group including the 3 favs.
Uran finished 7th in 2011. This year Kirienko will look to do better as he continues improving his form looking towards bigger races.
Favourites for the event are Vaugrenard, Ventoso and Gasperatto.
35km to go- Eibegger has a 2 minute lead over 21 men including Kiryienko, Hivert and Gasparatto.
12km to go- Eibeggers lead is down to 1 minute. With Ratto the better sprinter Kirienko now decides to support him.
As we get to the sprint Ratto gets out of Kirienko's wheel and lies in 2nd with Kiryienko just behind
A great victory for the young man who does so much work for the bigger names throughout the season.
Trofeo Lugano
Matthe Lloyd and Thomas Lofkvist completed a Carmiooro 1-2 last season. Lofkvist will be looking to do one better this year. Lofkvist, Van Den Broeck and Nibali lead a strong field in this warm up event.
70km to go- A group of 7 riders including Paulinho leads Van Den Broeck by 1min. The peloton is a further 2mins behind.
50km- Van Den Broek and Paulinho lead a second group by 55 secs with peloton at 3'50
30km THe front group of 3 lead now by 2m from a group falling back to an elite chasing group now at 2'40
20km- Vanotti and Paulinho drop VD Broeck who is 37 secs behind. A couple of small groups are still ahead of main chasers who sit at 2'10
10km- Vanotti leads Paulinho by '10. VD Broeck is at 1'18 with chasers just 10 seconds furter back
Lokvist leads the chasers up to and past VD Broek.
6km- Vanotti is '26 ahead of Lofkvist and Paulinho who are '27 ahead of next men
Finish- Lofkvist passes Vanotti who finishes second. Paulinho is third with Clement and Mitto rounding out the top 5
Paris- Nice
Again Carmiooro will focus more on the Tirrano-Adriatico as it is a Sponsor's objective. Kirienko will be looking for a top 10 however.
stage 1- Prologue
1- Chavanel

120km to go- A group of 7 incl G. Larsson of saxobank has a lead of 9 mins.
90km- the lead is down to 7mins.
45km- With Liquigas chasing for Bennati and quickstep for Boonen , the lead is down to mins
20kms- Just 1'10 seperates the escapees from the peloton
Casper led out by Bonnet and Brown by Mol hit the front.
Greipel accelerates off Roulston's wheel followed by Napalitano and Gavazzi.
Napalitano fades and Gavazzi snatches a top 3 finish.
1- Greipel
2- Brown 3- Gavazzi[/b
]4- Roulston
5- Napalitano
[b]Stage3- Flat
100km to go- 10 man group has 8mins lead
50km- lead down to 4'50
20km- Lead at 1'35
1- Greipel
2- Brown
3- Roulston
4- Freiere
5- Hushovd
St4- A tough mountain 50km form the end of stage means not all sprinters are likely to be challengin for stage victory
75km to go- group of 13 lead by 6'30
30km- 8 escapees remain 3min ahead
15km- the lead sits at 2mins
With 9 km to go 48 men sit at the front of the bike race.
Valverde, Chavenel and Breschel all try attacks but it's clear ti will come down to a sprint.
Breschel leads out the sprint.
And is too strong for the others
1- Breschel
2- Moinard
3- Bak
4- Chavanel
5- Bennati
