Last year's edition was won by Marcel Kittel of Germany, beating Dutchman Martijn Keizer by just 1 second. Taylor Phinney was 3rd at 27 seconds and is a massive favourite today, while Justo Tenorio was 5th last year at 1'16 and the likely 2nd place here - having won the Tour de l'Avenir ITT.

(This wont really be much of a report, as there really wasnt much of a battle)

10th today was Wen Hao Li - a dissapointing drop of 2 positions from 2010 for the Chinese rider. He was 3'26 down on the winner - just beating Iranian Hossani Reza

10 seconds faster than Li is Peter Sagan, taking 9th.

Halfing his 2010 position, Morten Reckweg took 8th

7th place goes to Reinhardt Janse van Rensburg, 3'06 down

Jack Bobridge took 6th place today

Onto the Top 5 and it is Mattias Brandle, who was a very early starter. A good ride by him, beating Bobridge by 4 seconds

The battle for 3rd was very close, between Lucas Schädlich of Germany, and Mathieu Bernaudeau of France. Schadlich led by 3 seconds at the first two splits, and extended that to 7 seconds by the finis hto take Bronze

The silver medal went to Justo Tenorio, over a minute ahead of Schadlich. But still over a minute down himself.

The win was never in doubt for Taylor Phinney, and no doubt he was able to take it relatively easy aswell - not all out full effort - as he is targeting the U23 RR, and Elite ITT aswell. He beats Tenorio by 1'13 and his time of 1h29'48 is just 1 second slower than Netherlands went in the TTT.
