I had PCM 08 also installed on my computer and when I uninstalled that it never showed up again, except my message always said ddr3. I wouldn't recommend uninstalling older versions of PCM, but thats what fixed it for me.

Edit: also I remember if you change the letter of your secondary hard drive (Usually E drive to something else f.e. "K" ) it also worked like that, but not for very long. Like a month maybe.

Since you solved it, I wasn't really sure if I was going to say anything... But I am! Pfft

I had this problem with PCM2010 Clean (no patch, no DB, no nothing). Turns out that PCM sometimes cross-references it's DRM-check with various non-permanent drives (flash-readers, CD/DVD-drives, USB's, etc.). I had to disable each and every feature separately to find out where the problem was :-S

I've notified Cyanide, who says that it's a problem that can occur occasionally, and that they hope to have it fixed in PCM 2011 Smile

Hopefully Smile It has something to do with where PCM chooses to look for DRM-registration files, which I'm not all that knowledgeable about. Let's hope a fix is a fix, and that it'll keep working Wink

In most cases, it's a matter of removing your USB devices. So simply unplug what you have in the USB.

If you have your mouse and keyboard there, try to unplug and re-plug.
