Not the toughest stage of the race, but certainly not the easiest. Can anyone halt the Pellizotti brigade?

Delgado extends his lead at the first KoM, beating Ndbri and Brutt

Moving onto the 2nd climb, a good 15km to the summit, and Brutt launches a move similar to the previous stage.

Dupont and D'Amore counter initially. Quiksilver realise their mistake as D'Amore fails miserably, so send Gutierrez Palacios instead. And just like yesterday, Dupont and Gutierrez Palacios drop Brutt. The Spaniard takes KoM points at the top of climb 2

Brutt crossed 3rd, while Delago beat Ndbri for 4th. By the next climb, Dupont and Gutierrez have secured a 3 minute lead over the next group, the 21 man peloton. Gutierrez takes the climb, with Delgado again beating Ndbri, this time for 3rd

The lead is down to 30 seconds as Dupont takes the points this time, on the last KoM, with 33km to go. Ndbri beats Delgado this time, for 3rd, and thats Petrov attacking!

Siutsou, Y Martinez, Kritskiy and Pellizotti immediately look to follow, but the descend comes too soon. 10km later, and a slight drop in the percentage of descent gives Siutsou an opportunity - and he attacks!

Pellizotti waits a little, but will respond and is the only one to do so. They form a group of 2 and lead by 25 seconds another 6km later, when Y Martinez, Petrov, Nozal, Kilun and Anton decide to launch their own moves

These 7 link up, with a 50 second lead into the final 10 kilometres.

That gap is reduced in the descent as the riders up front focus on the stage itself. Pellizotti takes Anton's wheel while Kilun is leading for Siutsou. Nozal, Petrov and Martinez all opting to follow Red Bull

It seems everyone is waiting for the 1 jump to beat the rest. Martinez blinks first, and soon the rest all also motion to go - Siutsou probably being last (excluding Kilun and Anton) to launch himself - but he is starting further forward than Pellizotti.

Siutsou quickly fights to build up speed, and moves into the lead, but Pellizotti is building up the momentum

Its very close, but Pellizotti has done it. He wins again. 5 out of 11!

Nozal takes 3rd, from Petrov and Martinez. The rest of the peloton had caught up the group by the sprint.
