Moving away from Morgantown now, towards Parkersburg. In the 3 sprint stages so far, only 1 has been won by a sprinter. Can that percentage be improved here?

Once again we have an intermediate sprint victory for Damian Martinez. Bertogliati a surpris 2nd, and similarly, Dempster a surprise 3rd. Particularly since Markov is now joining in at these sprints.

But we then get the same Top 3 at sprint 2, although Dempster ahead of Bertogliati this time.

Another solo attack for Curfs, he takes Sprint 3. Markov finally finds reward for his new efforts today with 2nd, from Martinez. Not a productive day for Haidar Anuawar then.

Curfs caught with 33km to go, and Haidar Anuawar's bad day continues. He has been dropped - and Red Bull stupidly send back Parra Bustamente and Zwizanski

Coming to the sprint then. D'Amore is a bit lost, as Dempster was dropped at the same time as Haidar. Unfortunately for Markov and Pellizotti, they have opted to follow D'Amore.

But Kritskiy now comes through, searing for a 3rd Tinkoff win - to match YouTube.

Yasmani Martinez, Siutsou and Gutierrez Palacios are following Kritskiy, and now Martinez makes his move

Siutsou in 3rd - making this a stage where he does gain something back on Pellizotti. Kritskiy's 2nd compared to Markov eventually fighting through for 12th, means that the young Russian takes the lead of the points jersey away from his sprinter teammate - albeit by just 2 points
