The Tour of America kicks off in New York, and we head to Philadelphia today. A small field though, and a long race - dont expect any one to be keen to attack.

But theres always interest in the primes, and at the first KoM, Gutierrez Palacios takes it from Ndbiri and Brutt

8 riders move clear of the peloton coming up to the first sprint. Matthews and Haidar Anuawar for Red Bull, Dempster and Damian Martinez from Quiksilver, Dupont and Kinney for Pirelli, Kritskiy for Tinkoff, and Bertogliati for YouTube. Haidar Anuawar takes it, from Martinez and Kritskiy

Curfs and Brutt ride clear of the peloton in advance of the 2nd KoM. Brutt attacks to take it, but Gutierrez Palacios comes out of the peloton for 3rd - to share the KoM jersey with Brutt

Curfs and Brutt remain clear, but Brutt drops Curfs upon winning the 2nd sprint. Martinez takes 3rd

Brutt is last to be caught with 20km to go, so no surprises, we get a sprint. But the leadouts fail badly, all the top sprinters are at the back of the peloton

Ochoa Quintero leads as Markov looks for space outside of Red Bull's Zwizanski.

D'Amore and Haidar Anuawar are coming forwards. But they hit a Red Bull road block. Semple and Zwizanski blocking their path, ruining their chances

And so Richard Ochoa Quintero is a very surprise winner of Stage 1! Whether Markov didnt have the legs, or enough space to get past Zwizanski, who knows - but he managed to edge 2nd, with the American in 3rd - Petrov takes 4th
