It's August, and we are in the snow, Denmark has called and some of the best sprinters in the buisness have answered. Kennaugh, Rowe and Vaitkus are the main threats, but Davis, Crocket and Casper are also major challengers.
That said, this is only flat until 20km to go where the roads get tricky and I'm sure many riders will fancy their chances of going it alone
Of those fancying their chances 5 go for the long shot: Kristiansen, Khatuntsev, Appleby, Diggle and Bobridge
90km to go and with the gap at 9 minutes Ikea start upping the tempo
35km to go, and as the breaks lead dips below 2 minutes De Gendt leads a few riders on a raiding party, Lequatre, Markov, Jallays and Persson are the others involved
with 30km to go the break hits the first climb of the day
Which causes Kristiansen to let go
20km to go and the atttackers are all but back in the peleton. 1'25" is the gap to the break
Scheirlinckx attacks soon after, Rowe decides to cover the move
Rowe gives up on that idea, Vaitkus, Morkov and Davis all decide to try their luck
with 12km left Scheirlinckx and Vaitkus have joined the front, the peleton has pulled the gap down to 45"
Appleby is the only rider from the break who stays with the 2 attackers
The other three are pulled back as theese roads get tricky
with 7km to go it's all together again, now which sprinter can get to the front?
4400m and it's Parvarin who is powering forwards, Caruso is looking to get in his wheel
The two of them pull clear, Davis is in about 10th, can the Aussie champ come back at them?
As the sprint kicks off it's anyones game
Davis and Martin move forwards as Caruso struggles to take the lead
1km to go, Ljungblad and Rabon are also in the mix but this one is really tight
Davis goes wide as Caruso takes the lead
Caruso has been waiting for this moment as he explodes clear, Davis seems to run out of steam
And Caruso gets the victory, Rabon slipstreams him to second, with Davis getting 3rd
The rest of the top ten is very tight, Ljungblad, Lelay and Hermans followed by Martin, Rooijackers, Flugel and Pavarin
