Career crashes then crashes trying to load

Basically, any career I make works ok til about February. Then it crashes (PCM has stopped working).
When I open PCM and click the load button, the game just crashes everytime.
:/
Is the only solution to keep copying the weeklysaves in?

If the game crashes while saving, then the save is corrupt. In such a case you can do two things:
1. Try to load the backup after you removed the ~ (this file is in the same folder as the save, has a similar same name, but a ~ at the end)
2. Load the weekly save (I guess you know how)
If the crash always happens at the exatly same day, you have to seek support from the DB builder.
If you want to prevent the game to crash you can do several things:
1. Install the latest patch (I suggest 2nd latest patch 1.0.4.1 though)
2. Reduce the graphic options if the game crashes while in 3D races
3. Play another DB
4. Pray |

Is it possible that me adding races and teams to the PCMdaily2011 preview DB is messing it up?
I have 1.0.4.2 installed, but I don't really want to uninstall everything just to get to 1.0.4.1. |

You do not need to uninstall anything. Just install Patch 1.0.4.1 from 1.0.0.0 and it will automatically overwrite 1.0.4.2.

If you play online, then you need 1.0.4.2, else you should use the older one, because the sprints are bugged in 1.0.4.2.
(Just backup the local.cdb in all folders before installing 1.0.4.1, in case the patch overwrites them.)
But the patch is not the cause of your problems.
And yes, adding races and teams could make the game crash. But does the game crash always at the same day? |

It crashed during the Tour of Oman, but with my new HTC career it crashed after I finished Paris-Roubaix and went to the next day.

Seems ok for now on 1.0.4.1
Is there a reason why Turkey, Tunisia, Romania, Ned.Antilles, Algeria, Namibia, Zambia and some other flags don't work now? They're just pink squares, even though the files are there. |

The patch overwrites the Local.cdb that the DB comes with.
Open Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/PCM.daily DB Backup and copy the Local.cdb from this folder to My Docs/PCM. |

Just done that, loaded my career again and its still the same.
When I load the career, the size of local.cdb goes from 1143KB to 1097KB, so it looks like the game is replacing the local.cdb again? |

I meant that you had to copy the Local_Patch1041.cdb (not the one called Local.cdb) from Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/PCM.daily DB Backup to My Docs/PCM. Delete the original Local.cdb and rename Local_Patch1041.cdb to Local.cdb. |

Make sure to replace all local.cdb files you can find on your computer with the one mentioned by CrueTrue (except the ones you downloaded with any DB, of course) |

I've just deleted all game files and uninstalled the game (saved new stages, jerseys, custom dbs) and I'll just reinstall it, patch it to 1.0.4.1 and put the things back and see what happens. |

That didn't work either.
And it won't let me upgrade from 1.0.4.1 to 1.0.4.2
edit:
After 3 or 4 reinstalls, the flags and scouting zones and everything are back. Just got to wait to see if it crashes anymore.
