The second stage ought to be another one for the sprinters - can Drapac double up?

No frenzy of attacks today, only 6: Jeanneret, Jernov, Stokstad, Kuperasov, Green and Enaes. Kuperasov took the only KoM, but as it only offered 3 points - compared to 4 for the climb yesterday - the jersey stays with Milioni.

Kuperasov doubled up to take a tight sprint from Jernov and Jeanneret but was all the way back in 6th for the other sprint - Green winning this time, from Jeanneret and Jernov

The break stood no chance of surviving, and so to the sprint. Early on in the build up, Rodomonti is leading Prestia and the rest all jump on - Wagemans, Keukeleire, Drapac and Hunt. Rodomonti goes backwards though, and so Prestia desperately looks around and spots Bar (wearing Green) following teammate Mauron. So over to the El Al train he went, the others still following - while Joseph is also up there, perhaps Wagemans will switch to him.

The problem for these riders though, is that there are better placed sprint trains already with a good advantage on them. Right at the front it is Milka with Papok leading Bercz, and Yamaha looking to split their chances. Entino leads Pantano Gomez (plus Van der Sanden and Denaturaev) while Cancino moves up to the wheel of Bercz. It's advantage Milka when the spritn starts, and aware of Cancino, Bercz waits until the final kilometre for his move

Van der Sanden, Keukeleire and Bar lead the desperate chase behind - but its only going to be for the minor placings now of 3rd downwards.

And the Chilean Cancino simply cannot match Bercz as Milka's German Stagiare takes a perfect win for the team!

Jocelyn Bar just manages to edge Keukeleire for 3rd, and with those time bonuses bring him onto the same time as Drapac and Bercz. Drapac is down in 9th today, and with Bercz an annoymous 96th on Stage 1, Bar's aggregate of 2nd and 3rd is best, so he takes over the race lead.

The first hilly stage is next, and so maybe it's a blessing in disguise for Red Bull to lose the lead, Drapac wont be anywhere tomorrow, and now, wont be diverting teammates back with him. Bar on the otherhand, could be one to watch out for.
