Relative to patches or DB`s this doesn`t matter if you buy the CD or buying the downloadversion on the official focus page.
It could happen that there are more languages on the downloadversion. In my example there are several languages with the DL but I think just German on the German CD version.
But not 100% sure about it.
Yes, there are local DVD versions which contain only one language (and it is not very easy to change the language on that versions)
But I guess you would buy a DVD on you country?
The download version can only be downloaded during a short period, then you have to contact the support to get a new link, so better back up the downloaded files.
Also you only get three activations on the download version, after you used them up you have to contact support to get new activations. But if done correctly you only have to use a new activation after you canged you computer (or parts of it). So theoretically you could install the downloaded game on three computers.
The DVD includes a copy protection so every three days (or so) you have to put the DVD into your computer to be able to play the game, so better don't scratch or break it. Also, you could sell the game if you quit the game.
I prefer the download version due to these reasons:
- No ecological rape (crude oil is used to produce the DVD and packaging)
- More income for the game company (the DVDs already have been sold to the distributors)
- Support for pcmdaily (if you order it through the link on the home page)
