A change of route for the race this year, to provide a more challenging route around a circuit in Llangollen.
Its the course used for the 2010 British champs, where Bellis took a strong win over Froome and Diggle. It's up to Froome to fly the British flag here though - as mystifyingly Bellis is absent - despite having been sure to be the top favourite for the race, and despite Cillit Bang actually riding here,
So who else might win? Well, Gilbert, Ginanni, Efimkin, Ponzi and Monfort stand out.

How steep is that hill?
one for whoever times his attack the best, perhaps Efimkin? |

The steepest kilometre is a 10-12% gradient.
If it comes to a sprint of a small group, then Ponzi would have to be one of the ones to beat, but it could all depend on timing of attacks, yes. The delicate question of not going too soon, but not leaving it too late.

Also known as the "how the fuck does Moreno Argentin always get this right!?!" question. |

With the final climb being so close to the finish, hopefully the rider who gets over it first will win and we won't have to see the slow down and regroup on the descent thing that happens sometimes. |

We are outclassed here. I'll just be happy to watch the quality field up that last climb |

Wonderful to see the home advantage count and always good to see an early attack win, rather than the usual wait until the last hill climb and attack.
Wiggle and LEGO did well here - Mercedes lack of squad strength punished here. Gilbert surprisingly poor here has he caught Ginanni - itis? |

Good win for Froome there and 100% ME performing on home(ish) soil. Happy enough with 2nd place by Ponzi, and with another two in the top 15, fine. |
