One thousand, five hundred, and twenty six.

That's the lead Sony Ericsson now hold in the team standings, after the scores from the Vuelta and FBD races are added. Only Cafe de Colombia and Vesuvo-Accumalux have outscored them over the past two races, and considering those teams started the Vuelta 14th and 16th respectively - theyre hardly a worry for Sony Ericsson at this stage.

La Gazzetta, Festina and Auber have all remained 2nd, 3rd and 4th - but not because they did particularly well, instead it is more a case of them losing their advantage on the teams below. Domina Vacanze are up 4 to 5th, Pearl Adidas up 2 to 6th, Cafe de Colombia up 6 to 8th, and Jack Wolfskin up 2 to 9th.

Lipton have lost 2 positions, while Wikipedia, B&O and Energie-Diesel all lose 4 - the latter now falling behind the climbing Vesuvio and Starbucks. Its not only Starbucks who have moved out of the relegation zone though, Carmeuse have also just battled out thanks largely to Roelandts.

Having only outscored the Energie team in the last two races, its Philips-TDC who have fallen 5 places to taste relegation worries for the first time. Warner Brothers find themselves back in the zone too, and now depserately need Spilak to shine in the upcoming races. We could also be saying the death nail slowly come down on Lafarge, who now see themselves some 700 points away from safety.

Of the wildcards, Santander scored 930 in the Vuelta, YouTube 462, and Pokerstars took 223 in Ireland.

In the individual standings, a strong Vuelta isnt enough for Trofimov to regain his long held lead. He does jump Cunego to remain 2nd though, as this time it is Valverde who leads the way. Meanwhile Vesuvio see 2 riders in the Top 10 now - Frank Schleck thanks to his FBD win, and Intxausti having scored prolifically pre-crash. Other Vuelta climbers are Plaza to 12th, Roelandts to 16th, Brajkovic to 17th, Rujano to 19th, Andy Schleck to 25th and Amador to 30th.

I'm deeply surprised that I'm still in top 3 after the horrible Vuelta. That being said I lost atleast 500 points in contrast to my Vuelta expectations. I have no expectations to the final races whatsoever...

Still, if Warner Brothers is as Boonen 1-dimensional as I remember them being, then they should be fine. Not to mention that Carmeuse doesn't have much to brag of (eh Crommy?).

Dekker is due a good Tour de France, but if he fails, then Crue may start to get nervous. Warner Bros saving grace could be that theybe become 2-dimensional with Spilak added in. Its going to be very tough for both Carmeuse and Lafarge though, while on paper you would still expect Starbucks to be struggling come the season end.

2nd through 12th are all very close, could see any of those teams finishing in any of those places. Hope Phinney's tour de Suisse and Tour, along with eindhoven can give me a boost. The two early grand tours really have taken their toll on my squad.

Sony seem to be well on their way, what a great job building a squad to even be in this position mattias. Makes me think back to the tinkoff-designa kokken days
