Any experiences yet?
I haven't really played the game ever since the 1st version, and from what I've tried of GT5, I suck at it, but I'm still hoping to get at one point or another. |

I would really like to know if the game is still so much arcade?
They called it "the true racing simulator" but in the latest games there wasn't even a qualifying.
Also the races where about 3 or 5 laps long and the rally races had nothing to do with real-world rally.
And there were no championships (I mean real championships not just three or five races with random opponent cars).
And there was nothing like a career, you could just buy a car and race any race, that was all. |

Anyone in need to level their B-spec driver? Add Christard to PSN and set the driver online. I will be racing a lot of B-spec from my PC, and will add your driver.

I just set my driver online Christer. You can now use him in all your remote races if you like.
Edit: Your driver is really owning mine. Anyone else thats my friend on PSN (you know who you are) just go to your drivers list next time you open the game and chose a driver and click "share online" or something like that. Then you can earn money and B-Spec levels by doing nothing.

GT5 is a good game but i don't like that you have to play 2 24 hours game to get a platinum. That just sucked. But if you want speed buy need for speed hot pursuit it's quite good but it's a short game
add me on psn : da-bever |

I actually have a question. If I put a driver online does he gain xp for taking part in B-Spec Remote Races or does he only earn cash?
Edit: I see it happens when you go onto GT5 and collect prizes.

I use a second account to race the drivers of my main game account because else I could only race one guy at the same time.
I play from the office through the web brower (www.gran-turismo.com) all day long.
I have 9 spots remaining, so if anybody needs some cash and exp, befriend my second account lachi_gt5_2 and I will race your drivers. Just make sure not to set them online if you want to race them during the day because they might be very busy.
It is very good to level up a newly created driver, because you might not race him anyway. I got mine from 0 to lv. 19 in one day.

add me on psn : da-bever Sony said they might bring a save function for this sort of races in one of the next patches. Else you have to pause the game and keep the console running while you eat, sleep, work or go to school.

In my opinion driving is a lot harder than it was at GT4 but a bit similar to GT5: Prologue
There is a lot more oversteering but you can set driving aids from 0 to 10
The career mode isn't that much motivating if not to say boring.. But maybe perfect if you aren't a racing nut, very enjoyable for "I would just like to drive for some while"
It's odd when you are racing with a premium car against standard cars you really see the diffrence from more then a kilometre
In my opinion if you really want a PS3 racing game then you will be fine with GT5, but GT2 is still my favourite Gran Turismo
I'll stick with Forza Motorsport 3 on my XBOX 360

It really depends how you play it. If you activate all driving aids and enable the race line and also tune the car to the max it is very easy, but if turn off all driving aids and not overpower your car it is not that easy.
In the A-spec races, normally I get gold immediately, but I tend to race the same race over and over until I know track. For me it is more about racing fast cars than winning a race. |
