The idea is stolen from the CT forum but I think it was a good initiative, so I thought we should have it here aswell...
So are you happy with your team? Your riders? Your tactics?
Which riders have overperformed, and who haven't showed what you thought of them? Any results you are pleased about or could you perhaps be a bit sorry with a specific peformance?
I will make my own comments in a while.

Looking at my own team I am very happy with the PT rankings as it is looking right now. The fare up till the Giro was the toughest for my team, on paper, and being 4th after that race I'm very very satisfied...
The biggest dissapointment so far has to be, a race where I didn't actually should be dissapointed. The Milano-San Remo. Sam Bewley managed to get 2nd, which is a fantastic result, but nevertheless did that exactly make me dissapointed, as I had a season goal of winning the race. It seemed very unrealistic from the beginning on, and so it seemed so sad missing the goal by only 1 spot!
I was really dissapointed in the first three races of the season. The Qatar where I had a very strong TTT team, the Tirreno-Adriatico where Samuel Sanchez won last year, and the Paris-Nice where Ardila didn't make the top 10. Those 3 races were not on my top priority list, but to be honest I really thought I would easily be in top 10 of those races.
The cobbled season turned out to be awful for my team, but I wasn't expecting all too much. Had hopes up for 3 9th or 10th positions, but I only managed to get one.
The hilly classics proved to be difficult for all teams, and as such I'm pretty happy with some mixed results from both Samuel Sanchez and Diego Ulissi...
Needless to say the most positive thing of this season was Carlos CastaƱo at the Giro. A 5th place overall there was just fantastic, and without a doubt the most surprising result of the season for our team. Diego Ulissi took 2 stagewins from the race and Mauricio Ardila took a very nice 13th overall.
The season to come is very open. The Vuelta is our main target, and hopefully Alberto Contador will be able to close the gap on Sony Ericsson. Obviously not 1000pts, but hopefully 4-500... I also hope the race will be taking my team to 2nd overall, by a good distance to 3rd and then I hope I will be able to hold onto that position all the way to the Tour. Will be difficult but not impossible, as the Eire Tour could be anything, Contador is at the Dauphine and the succesduo from the Giro (Contador+Ardila is at the Suisse Tour). The hilly race just before the Tour have both Samuel Sanchez and Diego Ulissi and shouldn't cost me too much on my rivals.
I'm really looking forward to the Vuelta. I would be thrilled if Contador is performing according to his statcapacity...

What can I say, my riders have performed excellent. I had hopes that Trofimov would do well, but that Ballan would do as good as he have done was not expected. Then my co-leaders have also done their max and over, really nice.
The ones that I had expect a bit more from from Lang and some of the sprinters. But its just a minor issue.

Why would you expect anything from Lang?
There are 9 riders with individually better TT stats in the PT, 5 with the same, but stronger other stats and a bunch of riders with 78 and 79 TT with very strong other stats
He should be extremely lucky to do top 5 in any TT I think

My team has performed as I expected of it. My expectations might well have been far higher than anyone elses, but there we go, that's life. All that I need now to be 100% happy is that Tour stage win.

I had a pretty good season so far for our first one in the Pro Tour. Gesink has been at the top in every race he was in, except for Paris - Nice, where he crashed. Same thing about Plaza, even though now he is riding only his second race so far.
I was very disappointed with the sprints so far, Van Stayen doing nothing so far and of course my team's pure Tour of Qatar.
It should be even better from now on, even though Gesink has only 3 races left: Le Tour, Eindhoven TTT and Giro di Lombardia. I'm also hoping for some top quality results in the other 2 GTs, especially in Vuelta, where I should dominate the time - trials, all three of them.

As for my team I have to say I'm very pleased with the way everything's going at the moment. The completely inexistent cobbles stat in my team has been fairly avoided as the cobbled season has already ended and it didn't majorly hurt our PT standings. On the other hand I have to say I've been lucky with my 3 greatest signings, none of which is a huge rider stat-wise:
Duque has won a couple of stages and is excceeding my pre-season expectations
LLS besides rounding the top10 in most of the races he's been taking part of, has also achieved some impressive top5 and top3
Pozzovivo, my top dog, and as so my biggest expectation for my team goals, has expectedly failed my "Win Volta a Catalunya" goal with a nice 5th place and clinched my "Giro Top10" goal with a firm 4th place.
As so I'm pretty delighted with my managerial decisions, but as SN has put it, my team has probably already peaked. I'll have to keep in the Man-Game's gods' will to maintain this performance during the 2nd half of the season.

I must say I'm not overly impressed with LL Sanchez this season. Was it last season where he blew the start of the season apart for Rabobank?
He has some nice stats, and the combination of him being a very good attacking hilly rider the mountain stat makes him keep within touch in the difficult stages and his TT is much better than most other top hilly riders.
He is a very strong rider and with 80-81 hilly he would be my favorite hilly rider in the bunch, eventhough there are riders obviously better...

I thought my team could have done a little better so far. Basically, only Sella delivered like i expected. Kash is a bit low, Arroyo is still making me wait for something solid and Ghisalberti is not worth the risk i took with him.
Clearly Sella is the one making me stay rather close to the front, mas if Arroyo and Kash (Vuelta and Tour) don't get me results, this season will be a total failure after the huge risk and commitement i took to be the winner....

Aww that is a tough goal I agree... Arroyo is likely to get 5th in the Vuelta and Kash about the same in the Tour. I really don't think that you can take the amount of points needed to overtake Sony Ericsson with those results :-/
