DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Batigol19
what's the most realistic level? normal or difficult?
and how can i do to change the number of teams in the grand tour 22 (4 wild card)with the full editor?
thanks a lot for the answers.

The most realistic is the one where you get realistic results. I mean, if you easily win lots of races, unless you have a super team full of stars, you're playing in a too easy level, so you should increase it. If you absolutely struggle to get any decent result, even if your riders aren't that bad, then you're playing in a too difficult level, so you should decrease it.

At least that's my opinion, I hope it helps.

And as far as I know it's not possible to have 22 teams in a GT.

I was talking about the realism of the notation riders. Because i have played a lot of seasons in normal and difficult and it depends. Sometimes it's more realist in normal(mountain) and in difficult(sprint). Do you known by how much the notation is multiplicated in difficult?

Lachi
I forgot the numbers, but it has been discussed in this forum before. Did you try the search? (2nd link in the box at the left)

I speak not about the level that the players of pcm prefere but the level of the runners because in hard level Contador for example or schleck never can lacher the other favourites in mountain contrary in normal. Or still Cancellara in very good shape which is beaten widely in clm (tdf 51km) what is not the case in normal level.
Most of the players say that it is more realist in hard level. I would like to know if somebody thinks like me, that is more realist in normal. And for people who are going to ask me to look in the forum, frankly for that me enerve. It is the first time when I ask a question in the forum after searching credit note from a to z, and there are always people to send to you to shit.
Thank you for reponses

I play on extreme, and for me all the results are very realistic.
IRL you can´t catch contador or Andy in the mountains.
IIRL you can reach the podium, but no more.
In the cobbles classics the normal results are that Boonen or Cance win.
In the ardennes, Gilbert, Gesink, Cunego.
For me, extreme is very very realistic.
In normal and hard i´ve seen Boonen 3rd in Liege and Fleche.

The most realistic level according to what you say Batigol19 would be normal since your riders and the AI riders have the same statistics. On easy your team has +1 to all attributes, hard is -1, extreme -2 (someone correct me if this is wrong).

But because the player is more intelligent than the AI and due to the gameplay, mostly regarding the dot function (go at your own speed), normal level can be quite easy. However the player can not exploit many of these beneifts in all types of gameplay so for realism I suggest:

TT: Normal
Hills: Extreme
Moutain: Hard
Sprint: Normal/Hard

I think this is the best way to make it fair for the AI.

With regard to the normal level, the level hard boost the performances of the of the AI runners,OK (Contador 83 in MO returns to 82, that's right?). But how the AI can increased level? Because i don't want to play a game and change for each race the level(normal in tt and hard in sprint...). And nobody can say in all the discussions about the subject (difficulty level) what is the official level to play like in reality?

tyriion
It's a game, there won't be an official reality level. There's just the things you can do to get realistic results. And because a human player can outsmart the AI you will have to fiddle with the settings.

If you mean something else I don't understand what you are saying.

Of course it is possible.
Look for the table STA_UCI_class, and in it the column named gene_i_max_team. You can change it for every race class you want, not only the GTs.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

Great answer, thanks a lot Deda.

Hello, I do not still know with which level I have to play to remain most realism possible. I am nevertheless no debutant because I play since pcm2007. But on this version I do not know, because in normal level that countered easy but in hard level it is not realist for mein clm and in mountain. In hill or cobbles it does not see too much the difference between the normal level and hard. I address in players who make careers with a great team. Mine for example with full editor : Contador, Boonen, Pelizotti, Cavendish in leaders for example. And in more the poll on this site concern the difficulty level and the majority play in normal level... Finally can you tell me "players" what is the most realist level, NORMAL or HARD. (for those which answer Extreme, this level is not realist for me, too hard > for players who like challenges).
Thanks for answering

Deda
Don't get me wrong, but I just don't understand how you expect to achieve a good realistic experience playing with a team that has top absolute leaders for all kinds of races.
You have to have absolutely no clue about the game mechanics, and cycling in general, to be mediocre with a team like that.
Don't be surprised you're winning everything, because you yourself have chosen a team that can win everything.

That is, of course, if extreme is out of the question.
In that case, go for Hard.

cheers!

P.S. Mountains are not hard, even on hard, if you wisely use the dot function.

When you play with the shape of the runners which is masked, have they all the same shape? Or the shape(-5,-4,-3...0,1,2...5) is masked. I hope you understand my questin. Because it runs when you play according to the level.

Deda
do you mean if I switch the daily form on/off?

in that case, on, always. it's one more thing that adds to the realism

then in normal level with the daily form "on" we can say that I'm playing with the most reality possible. Or maybe in hard level? What do you think Deda, because for exemple in hard level its not realist in CLM for exemple(Cancellara in very good form beaten widely in TDF CLM). Is the AI more intelligent according to the level? In that case maybe I can agree that the hard level cab be more realist than in normal level.
Thks for answering Deda (:

Lachi
The CLM is a short race and the AI cannot do anything wrong. Also you cannot do anything better than the AI. This is why the stats bonus for the AI riders in hard or extreme is unjustified.

But in the other stages, you can outsmart the AI with weaker riders if you use the dot. So if you play on "normal", you should never use the dot. And if you want to use the dot, then I recommend to play on "hard" or "extreme" on the normal stages and play on "normal" or "easy" in the CLM.

Batigol19
Thanks for the answer Licha but I don't understand what is "the dot"?
Thus, if I play in normal without using "the dot" and with the daily form "on" we can say that I'm playing with the max of realism even in mountain and hill. And can you explain me the difference of the AI between normal and hard level set apart the increase of the riders notation?

Deda
The dot is the free ride option, it sort of looks like this:

o->

Anywayz, you use it when you don't want your rider(s) to follow the pace of the peloton, because it is too hard and they lose energy, or because you want to move up/down in the group.
It is great in the mountains because moving up/down through the peloton burns WAY too much energy if you, for example, want to put your rider in the front, and click on the relay button. He chooses the maximum possible speed according to his abilities, and it chews your yellow bar in a matter of seconds. That's why the dot is your lifeline.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?
