A mixture of tactics from the teams for this duo with some teams favouring similar leaders for both:
Milka - Efimkin
Cillit Bang - Bellis/Ben Nasser
Lego - Claeys/Monfort (though they add Gil for the Spanish race)
UBS - Albasini/Roux
Wiggle - Caruso/Bertagnolli
Where as others have focusses on the German race:
Mercedes: Pozzato
Pendletons: Gilbert
and others at the hill top finish on the Alto del Naranco
Santander: Cobo
Ikea: Flugel
Bacardi: Kirchen
100% Me: Roche
The races are very different with the Germans races principal difficulty in the middle and the finishing circuits perhaps encouraging a small group sprint. Whereas the race in Spain is toughest in the last 30km, the last hill will be the decisive part surely.
Race schedule: The Rund Frankfurt thingee will be with us tomorrow evening and the Subida will be with us over the weekend probably Sunday! |

Come on Cobo, keep the points ticking over while the climbs are on wildcard duty

I hope Ginanni having no real hill support will result in him attacking early on that final hill at Subida al Naranca. Last season having strong support riders didn't work out all that well.
As for Rund um den Eischborn Frankfurt - that kind of profile resulted strange races last year, hence the Vespa no show. |

Hopefully Gilbert can do better than he has done so far this year.

so far I have been disapointed by our season. Hopefully the German race is a turning point for Pozzato.

Evans is going to carve up, Yamaha has sent their best team to Naranca.
Seriously though, i think i'll enter a lot less one-day races next season, these fields are so strong! |

*sings to himself*
Oh yes, Caruso outsprinting Pozzato. Take that you over-dressed puff man. (Bitterness comes purely due to me not signing him, of course).
So, yeah, 80% of my squad (that's 4/5) riders in the top 5... and bottom 6 of the race. Awesome. Who needs 7 riders eh? Or 8? Or 9?

Ventoso, how on earth are you loosing every sprint this season, seriously, 78 sprint and you just go backwards.

Quite expected nowadays. Spanish races are always MOUNTAINOUS not HILLY. It's a lie. One I always fall for.

My whole team goes off the back and I still have 5 in the top 27.
Yeah, that fall cost me lots of points

If it had been moutainous, Ginanni shouldn't really have been in the top 10. Another poor performance to add to his collection this season. |
