Sevilla hit by bus while training in Colombia
Spanish rider sustains light injuries and returns to Spain

Oscar Sevilla was struck by a bus and suffered only minor injuries while training in Colombia on Monday. Revista Mundo Ciclista reports that he sustained a wound to his right elbow as well as a number of cuts and bruises.

Sevilla was training on the road between Bogota and Alto Patios when the accident took place and it is understood that the driver fled the scene. The 34 year-old Spaniard was able to continue his training ride, although he subsequently underwent a hospital check-up before being given the all clear to return to Spain with his wife Yvonne on Monday evening.

Quite interesting - UCI also published a list of "sporting hierarchy of teams for 2011". Basically, a list of the (expected) best teams in 2011.

1 Luxembourg Pro Cycling Project

2 Rabobank Cycling Team

3 Garmin-Cervélo

4 HTC-Highroad

5 Omega Pharma-Lotto

6 Lampre-ISD

7 Katusha

8 Sky ProCycling

9 Liquigas-Cannondale

10 Saxo Bank SunGard

11 Team RadioShack

12 Vacansoleil-DCM Pro Cycling Team

13 Pro Team Astana

14 Movistar Team

15 BMC Racing Team

And in more important news, Kim Andersen says that the Lux team is 'secured' financially the next four years.

What's the reasoning behind that hierarchy? PT points? Or did the UCI just pull that ranking out of its ass?

"Teams have been ranked based on the results of the squad's top 15 riders "using results obtained in 2009 and 2010" in all races on the UCI calendar as well as the team classification of stage races on the UCI World Calendar and hors categorie events on the UCI continental circuits in 2010" (Cyclingnews)

Also Pegasus can forget about a World Tour license because they are pretty low on this hierarchy list (23th). Meanwhile Vacansoleil's(12th) odds have increased.

So, three out of Euskaltel, Geox, Quick Step, Cofidis and AG2R will get a PT license. The obvious choice is to left AG2R and Cofidis out, but I guess the French will have a representative in the WT. Interesting.

Luxembourg's position at #1 must surely all-but confirm that Cancellara is going there

A couple of days ago, he said that he left Saxo Bank, because he wants to continue with the people with whom he has worked with for many of his successful years. It doesn't get any more clear than that Wink

Marca has reported that Mosquera's B sample was negative.

It's a blatant lie. Even Mosquera has admitted as much.

For some reason I forgot to post this earlier: Popovych has been summoned to testify in the US Postal doping trial.

And, supposedly, he said he hasn't witnessed anything like doping within the team.

Turns out Cancellara was involved in the Lux team since December last year in their hunt for a sponsor.

In other words, he's spent the last year being underhanded.

Why?
Because the french teams are at their real place?

This is based on ALL UCI races. (Pro, Historic, Continental...).
It doesn't get fairer than this
