- if I have the 1.0.4.1 installed and I start a new career, then the savegame does not have to be synchronised, right?
- whenever I synchronise a game save to a new patch all the new stages and the variants screw up and are replaced by the old original crappy stages . how can this be avoided?
Just don`t synchronise. This function is just for the official database. If you play with another DB like the PCM Daily, then jou mustn`t click this button.
All patches since 1.0.3.0 are compatible.
So my career I started with is still working with 1.0.4.1 and 1.0.4.2 but the .1 is better.
So in your case just install 1.0.4.1 and start a career without synchronising anything.

It depends what changes are in that patches. 1.0.4.1 and .2 have no DB related stuff, just gameplay, so 1.0.3.0 saves are normally compatible with these patches. 1.0.2.2. saves aren`t compatible because 1.0.3.0 had also DB related fixes.
Plus there won`t be another patch probably So just start your career with 1.0.4.1.
Synchonisation is like I said just for the Cyanide DB and so it will destroy all other DB`s saves like Daily, PPDB, ASO...So never use it.
If there is really another patch then you can go on with your career. Don`t think that there are more DB fixes anyway.
if you mean easy-medium-hard-extreme in the normal option menu then yes.
This is the only game difficulty setting and you can always change it.
The difficulty in the beginning of the career in this small window easy-medium-hard is not the gameplay setting. It`s for the finances of your own custom team.
