Problems exporting results

Have tried to find a solution but I give up. Stumbled into some problems when trying to export results. First I dont have excel so I use the convert to open office solution. All I get when opening is a text string with lots of codes and encryptions.
So I downloaded Excel Viewer but it wont open the files (.xls)? Im lost here..
How do I get to export the result in a normal version without the codes and without bying the Office-pack from MS?

But if thats the only way, I`ll try...
Any idea why excel viewer want open .xls-files?

You don't have to buy. You can hack it since its full version, but just a trial, by changing some .xml file. Its a matter of changing trial -> Full.

Still dont get this right. Hacking aint my game cause I lack the skills, and since the Excel Viewer want work Im stuck with Open Office. If an exported result is suppose to look like this, thats hell lot of editing to do then?
Sorry to bump this but im stupid with such things, and really would like to export my results for a future story.
Help appreciated!

All you do is search proof.xml and open it, and change that one word as long as you still have the trial. If not download the trial and then do that. Not hard.

Seems thats the only way since I dont know how to convert the text from the .ods-files in Open Office calc.
Do u know if this meethod work on the 2010 version of Office as well, since Im not able to find any links to Office 2007?
