Bug in TT?
lluuiiggii
Well, apparently there is a bug in Vintage 03 DB's Giro d'Italia Stage 15 TT.

The game consider the times of the riders just like in a road race, with time gaps =P

I'm pretty sure all these guys didn't get exactly the same time Wink

It's my second carrer, and I can't remember veryy clear but I think I remember that in the first carrer that happened too.

And btw, look how beatiful, Garzelli getting 10th, Basso, 13th and Pantani 24th (y)

Might have been the power of the pinky shirt, the power of the 2nd GC place and the power of the 3rd GC place lol

Anyway, does somebody knows a way to fix this?? thx

For future TTs, you can fix it by setting the time_gap to 0 in STA_stage (TTs are known by fkIDstage_type = 2).

You can find STA_stage by opening the DB (or save-game, in your case) with the Full Editor V4.

i was able to open the database, but not the savegame.. i mean, there are 3 savegames, game_005, game_005.cdb and game_005.cdb~. which one should i pass to the "database" folder?

other thing, after editing it, i can just click 'save' and quit?

finally, what the hell is that "KET Practice Test" folder doing there in the download?? I loled when I saw it Smile

thx for the attention

edit: other question, is there a way to change the values for sprint checks, mountain checks and stage finishes? because in the giro, the overall winner also won the sprinter jersey and the kom jersey. in the tour, same thing. very probably, it will happen again in the giro. how do i do that? and also, what values could i change to make it more realistic? if i just minimize the points gained on mountain stages with flat endings it would already be great and enough, i think. or am i wrong? thx

game_005.cdb would be your save. Just look at the .cdb ending. (BTW .cdb~ represents a backup, so you could edit or load it after removing the ~)

Check your Classifications folder in Program Files/Cyanide/PCM. The files contain the info you're looking for.

and how can i edit that? which program could i use?

also, isn't there a way to edit stage by stages finishes? because from what i could see, the bonuses are separated like: "finish flat stage", "finish mountain stage", "finish ttt", and so on..

well, at least i didn't find a "finish mountain top" or "finish mountain flat"... is there a way to change the points only for flat mountain finishes? thanks

roturn
finish mountain top is called finish mountain_hc,1,2,3,4.
Finish mountain flat is finish mountainstage.

You can edit these files with notepad.
In PCM09 you can also edit stage files with notepad and change the finish line somewhere in the middle to down. Directly under all the slopes.

lluuiiggii
ok, so i assume that mountain hc is the most difficult, then mountain_1, then 2, then 3, finally 4.

if i got it right, there isnt an end in category 4, just hc,1,2,3 and flat.

also, in the beggining of the file, there are the mountain checks values and more to the end, where it says "finish_mountainstage" or "finish_mountain_1" and so on, these are the values for the finish of the stages.

i'm also realizing right now that a mountain top finish not only gives you mountain points, but also sprint points... is that right?

so, finally, what i can do to make the sprinters win the sprinter jersey would be lowering the points given in mountain stages finishes(and hilly stages finishes) and maybe rising points given for flat finishes?

is everything here right?? thanks for the attention

oh, and after i save it, will the values be already in my savegame?
thx
