Previous Winners:
2010: Aleksandr Efimkin (Kenda Pro Cycling)
2009: Angel Vicioso (Gatorade)
The 2010 winner A. Efimkin is back at Euskal Bizikleta, now riding for the team named Milka, but he's by no means the overall favourite. There are much stronger teams present: UBS - Annie Chun's will be the team to beat. Schumacher leads the team and is supported by strong riders such as A. Roux, M. Albasini and S. Zahner.
Plenty of other great hilly riders are present. Cillit Bang has both Ben Nasser and Bellis on the team, Vespa Ginanni, Pendleton Gilbert, Bacardi Kirchen, LEGO Monfort, and I could go on and on - but I won't.

Wow, guess this one won't be as easy as I had hoped.
It depresses me that people like focusing on hills like I do.
Maybe I'll need to rebuild next season...

There should definitely be a rule about only Spanish teams in Spanish races

Please assume I am joking unless otherwise stated

Skipped this one last season to keep Vespa mainly racing in Italy. We're being far more mercenary this time around - mainly because I have a team that can only ride well in the hills.*

gilbert's only stage race should hopefully yield something. If not, I have my strongest support team here.

Should be a fascinating race. Schumacher the obvious favourite given he is a great hilly man and very string TTer.
Monfort, Cobo and Gilbert should also be good in that regard, though bonifications will be important as will any potential splits. The last stage looks the most difficult, so any result will surly be possible right up to the end.
Like some of those Italian races in the last month, pretty glad I steered well clear of this one! |

I hope in surprise, like last year. Efimkin wasn't the biggest favourite last year and he still won. This year the field is much stronger than last year, so I hope for the podium.

Should be time for Schumacher winning something finally... Other than that, a really strong field, Cobo and Kirchen I declare as my "wildcards", but Schumi will win I belive

Ooops, i'm a well outclassed here. Not a good goal to pick
Oh well, i am learning fast Hopefully some of my guys notice we are no chance and just gun it in the breakaways, some of these stages look possible to make it in. |

I've been looking forward to this race ever since i realized i was doing it. Either way i will be satisfied with even the slightest amount of doing good.

We're getting there. I'm quite surprised Tiernan-Locke managed to stay in the peloton compared with Bertagnolli. Still, stranger things happen at sea... or in PCM.
