Well after realising a custom team career wasnt for me ive decided to start a new on with a smaller team. As im a big livestrong fan, i went with the whole trek livestrong team So Ill hopefully start this a little later today, but i was hoping i could just ask if any of you could give me some ideas on which races to compete in. As i seem to always puzzle on this in my careers.
hope you can help and ill start later |

Yeah, Livestrong! Great choice!
I think you shouldn't compete in january, and just a few races in february, where not the big guns compete, for example l'Étoile de Bessèges or the Tour du Haut-Var.
Hope you can get some victories with that young, talented squad! |

Well, i just started The Trek-Livestrong U23 team is as shown below. Its full of talented riders but there are very few who are developed enough to challenge the better riders in the better races.
With such a small and young sqaud, the new livestrong manager feels it will be dificult to fufill the goals given to him and his team.
if we are to have any succes its clear that our 2 Leaders will have to play a big part.
Teams Leaders:
Taylor Phinney
Being No doubtly the best rider we have and the most talented, itll be his job to grab the green jerseys and stages wins that are set in our goals.
Justin Williams
Our second leader, will be hugely important in helping phinney winning the jerseys and stage wins. Looks like a great talent so hope he can snatch a few wins.
Coming next will be our first race i think But please feel free to drop by and reccomend races we should race in as we are not racing in many yet tbh! |

Well considering this is one of the flatest stages we will see all years its and early chance to impress the sponsors and compete in this stage.
Team Objectives
- be part of breakaway if one appears
- Keep all riders in peleton
- Give Phinney chance to win stage in sprint
So, the race started and it wasnt long till a break formed. But it seemed to be in pieces and it was left to young Cody Campbell of Trek-Livestrong to lead a breakaway.
Campbell kept pushing and wanted a significant lead over the peleton, but it wasnt long before the other riders in the breakaway decided it wasnt there say and they started to drop back into the peleton. Campbell was hving none of it and pushed ahead, harder than before and started making progress. He max'd hi lead on the peleton at about 5'30''.
60km to go and the peleton started increasing its pace, Astana were the main workers, knowing if they wanted there main man Davis to win the stage they had to catch the brave 20yo.
Closer and closer to the finish Campbell was becoming, dreaming that he could steal this win in a epic individual effort. But sadly his effort wasnt rewarded and with just km to go he was caught. But its ok, the team knew they needed to re-organise for Phinney's sprint. Williams was the lead-out for Phinney and he did a great job.
With 1.2k to go, Phinney saw his oppurtunity and attacked. He started his sprint impressively passing both Boassen-Hagen and Haedo as they were left flat footed. And He didnt stop there, he kept going, showing the cycling world what he could do!
HE WINS THE STAGE!!!(unfortunately crashed and didnt get image)

I hope so, Phinney is pretty good sprinter. so with his extra fitness and a good setup he should challenge most of the riders. |
