The current conflict in cycling

Tour de France Champion Posts: 27880 Joined: 20-10-2006 PCM$: 200.00	What do you guys think about the current conflict between the race organizers and UCI? Personally, I like that some now finally does something about the Pro Tour system, but also I would of course like to actually watch some interesting races this year -- and without any teams in f.e. Paris-Nice, I suppose it won't be very interesting. I don't like the Pro Tour-system, simply because it's too "closed". I'd rather like to see a super-motivated Continental team than an extremely bad Rabobank-team which any Continental team would be able to beat. I simply don't see any sense in f.e. Euskaltel taking part in Paris Roubaix.

Tour de France Champion Posts: 27880 Joined: 20-10-2006 PCM$: 200.00	Today, an agreement was finally announced, meaning that all the great teams will be in the Paris-Nice. However, neither Unibet nor Astana are considered PT-teams in the new agreement; they're not obligated to participate in the PT-races.
