I thought a thread like this could be nice to have.

So list your favorite movies and tv-shows, and so on.

I've just finished watching "The Other Guys", with Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. The funniest movie i've watcht in a loooong time.

Anything by David Lynch, Mulholland Drive is probably my overall favourite.
Anything by Quentin Tarantino.
Most stuff by Clint Eastwood.
Most stuff by Martin Scorsese.
Most stuff by Roman Polanski.
Most stuff by Sergio Leone.
Most stuff by Jean-Pierre Melville (late 60's French film director)
Most stuff by Johnnie To
Most stuff by Park Chan-wook
The Godfather (n°3 wasn't that good)
Star Wars
Alien
etc.

I've definitely seen way too many movies to make a list of good ones that's not arm long.
I particularly enjoy stuff with big twists in them, like, well, Mulholland Drive, but also The Machinist, Stay, or things like that. Things that need to be watched at least twice and you'll still notice you had missed a lot of important things when watching it a third time.

Lately I've started to watch tv-shows rather than movies.

My top 5 is:
1. Friends
2. How I Met Your Mother
3. That 70's Show
4. One Tree Hill (what, I'm only 16)
5. The Big Bang Theory

30 Rock, Modern Family and Chuck are also nice

Although I watch and enjoy quite many tv shows, one rises above all of them eventhough it's already quite old: Frasier.
It's by far the most enjoyable comedy I've ever seen on TV and I still occasionally watch some of the episodes that I've already seen god knows how many times, and still can't stop laughing at certain points.

To recommend some episodes that I enjoyed:
S3E13 : Moon Dance
S5E14 : The Ski Lodge
S9E18: War of the Words

However, some of my friends, who have started watching Frasier episodes and in the end ended up enjoying them as much as I have, said that they didn't enjoy the episodes separately nearly as much as they did after watching from the first season and getting to know the characters.

Crommy
Dr Strangelove.
Best movie I've seen.

Also, all the Monty Python.

Movies:

- The Negotiator (Samuel L. Jackson).
- The Godfather, all three.
- The Other Guys (a must see).
- Shooter (Mark Wahlberg)

Just to name a few. I love to watch movies that makes me laugh, so comedy is in my ally. I just watch Death at a funeral a couple of days a go. That movie was hilarious. Recommend.

TV-Shows:
- Burn Notice
- White Collar
- Entourage
- How I Met Your Mother
- Mayday: Airplain disasters
- King of Queens

And i also watch Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad. Whenever it's on.

A useful thread title, as it means I don't have to create a new one.

It was a toss up today choosing between watching Juno on C4, or 300 on Five. I went for 300. I am glad of this decision as I have seen breasticles. This is all I need in life.

My favourite TV Drama - Law & Order Criminal Intent is coming back for 8 final episodes. Vincent D'Onofrio is returning as Bobby Goren and hopefully Kathryn Erbe will also return as Alexandra Eames. I'm thankful that despite it's small 8 episodes, it'll be able to finish properly unlike the original Law & Order.

My favourite show right now though is 'SportsNation' on ESPN America (the morning after it's shown in the U.S.). Now due hearing issues and the fact it doesn't have subtitles, I have no idea what's being said. I am able to follow it due to basically reading what they're covering (and voting on the website) the day before. Oh and I fancy Michelle Beadle but let's not go into that.

TV Shows that I enjoy and that weren't mentioned:
The Office (Steven Carell is a comedy genius)
Californication & X-Files (can't get enough of Duchovny)
Entourage (Jeremy Piven explained it)
The Dead Zone & The Kingdom Hospital (I just love the shows and movies based on Stephen King's novels)
The Universe (The best popular science show that focuses on outer space, and forces that make up everything around us)

And I really love the `80s British comedy series like Only Fools & Horses, 'Allo 'Allo, Men Behaving Badly, The Red Dwarf. etc.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord will delete my browser history.

Since the thread already exists I thought it could also be used to post movies you thought were very good. I would like to hear peoples opinion about movies of any genre that were really good.

I'll go ahead and recommend Horrible Bosses to whomever wants to laugh for an hour and a half. It's full of great scenarios and one liners and is really the comedy of the year if not decade. It bests Hangover by a longshot in my opinion and is a must see, either in theatre or once it comes out on dvd.
