In order to clean up the Vuelta thread I thought we could have a Hushovd thread of its own.
He is the best sprinter in the world and he owns everyone. Especially Cavnedish!
Or maybe he is the slowest rider in the peloton and he is better off riding the classics.
Now leave the Vuelta thread for Vuelta related topics please.
Now flaunting my very first avatar...

There is really no reason for such a thread, norwegian riders are not so special... |

It's fine. From now on, feel free to discuss how awesome Hushovd is in this thread. Using other threads for this purpose will get you banned, though. |

Hushovd the sprinter have seen better days. But he might be better as a classics rider now. That's my honest, Norwegian opinion.

YES, exactly what I was waiting for!
I can start by quoting Thor Hushovd's trainer Atle Kvålsvoll on Twitter: (Warning: May lead to major Hushovd owns everything and still can sprint statements)
"Higher frequency in Thor's sprint today than in TDF. On the same gear (53-11) which means higher speed. The sprinter Hushovd still can."
Let us discuss this further, can he improve his frequency even more and be able to beat the best sprinters next year?

I think if Thor Hushovd read all the posts and threads, he would be shocked how much we are talking about him. |

Agree, we have seen him win the point's jersey twice. So seeing him in the classic's would be a joy

He proberbly could do that. But Farrar is the man at Garmin(i've just made my peace with that) and Hushovd should go for the classics. And if he get's better when it comes to sprinting, well fine , but then he must settle with the lead-out role. Wich IMO could be a deadly train with Farrar at the end of it!

Maybe he will be the new Mark Renshaw! He's pretty big as well so there will be no need to strike the rider beside him with his head, they will easily make him room |

And then it's the wind issue, he can take all the wind for Farrar

I think Thor will focus on the classics when riding with Garmin - Cervélo, and maybe he will be the lead out man for Farrar, who knows .
And in a TdF, Giro or Vuelta stage like stage 5 in this years Vuelta (where Hushovd survived the climbs and stayed in the first group, and Farrar didn't), he will be 'the sprinter' again
Also, when he is riding a race where Farrar doesn't start, he will be the lead-out sprinter

Pain is a big fat creature riding on your back. The farther you pedal, the heavier he feels. The harder you push, the tighter he squeezes your chest. The steeper the climb, the deeper he digs his jagged, sharp claws into your muscles.- Scott Martin

Thor Hushovd has a pet spider named Wompie.
Discuss.

What's the point in discussing this again when you are only going to get banned because of your opinion on this matter. Then there is nothing to discuss. |

This is the thread you can discuss it in. Other threads you may not continually post "THOR HUSHOVD IS THE BEST EVER"
Get it? Good. End of discussion. Carry on.

If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

You obviously have no idea about cycling! Hushovd is the best. Edvald will be the best, and will win the Tour, the Giro, Paris Roubaix, the RvV, Milano San Remo, Lombardy and the Formula 1 championship in the future!!!!1 |
