1. What is the difference between Hill and mountain attributes?
2. What is the best way to win with Cancellara on a flat stage (like those in the tour of Oman and Tour of Qartar)? I have won a couple times by breaking away at 15 kilometers and I have also won a couple times in a massed sprint finish.
3. Is it worth it to even have a sprinter in the Tour de France with Saxo Bank? J.J. Haedo's sprint is only like 78.
4. What is someone with a good fighter attribute (such as Voigt) excell at? |

1. Hill is for one-day classics (Liege-Bastogne-Liege etc.) Mountain is mountain stages.
2. I do the same as you.
3. I would not do so.
4. Im not sure but i think high fighter = more attacks. |

1) Well it's how good they are in hills or mountains.... , generally look at the type of stage whether its hill or mountain, mountain stat is generally better to have as even hill stages use the mountain stat whereas mountain stages only use the mountain stat
2) Like you said break with 15-20 km to go and then go onto dot on 85 effort or more
3) Depends on whether you want to win flat stages , sprint of 78 is still quite good and with a decent lead out he could win a lot of flat stages
4) Good fighting ability means they can attack for a long time which means they can attack well in a breakaway to go for the win or work hard at the front of the peleton on a mountain to wittle it down to a few top riders
Anyway hope this helps |

1. Hill is for the more classic races, like Ronde van Vlaanderen, to get over the short, steep hills. The mountain attribute is the real climbing job, like climbing over the Mont Ventoux or so, hope you get it?
2. Haven't played with Cancellara yet, but seen as he's not such a good sprinter, I'd recommend breaking away a few km's before the finish.
3. That's up to you, but 78 sprint is rather good, he could compete for stage victory, but when playing with Saxo, I think your aim is to win the Tour, so if you take him with you, he'll have to use a train formed by another team.
4. The fighter attribute has an effect on how much and how strong your rider is able to attack. The higher the fighter ability, the higher the chance is your rider'll make it to a breakaway. It affects his attacking abilities.
I may look happy, but honestly dear. The only way I'll really smile is if you cut me ear to ear

Thank you all. There is one more question: If a rider has 0 stars as his progress potetial for a given attribute does that mean there is no possible way to improve him in that attribute? |

once again abt the hill and mountain stat, i dont think it depends on the type of stage right? lets say if there is a hill on a stage which otherwise has a lot of mountains and you attack on that hill with someone having 80 in hills and 65 in mountains someone with 74 in hills and 80 in mountains would prolly not be able to completly keep up with the better "hill climber" eventho that stage is generally a mountain one.. (?)
still im wondering at which point a hill becomes a mountain, 2km, 3 km, 5km length? or does it change gradually? and how does the slope influence on it, i mean that a hill of 3km length and average slope of 10% isnt a moutain yet is obvious, but is a 10km ascent with 3% slope also categorized/seen in the game as hill? the gain in heigth is the same in the end...
maybe im making up my mind now abt uneccesary stuff but cant help it

It's decided by the DB (gene_f_mountain in STA_stage). If it's set to 1, only the mountain stat will count (even if it's a hill), if it's 0.5, the hill and mountain stat will count the same. |
