Contract young riders

Hi there,

I tried to sign a young rider (under 23) at the end of october (after october 15th anyway). I was very surprised when I didn't find him in my selection on january 1st.

Do you have to sign young riders before october 15th to have them in your team the next season?

I think all young riders join your team in August.
Even if you sign them on the same year. ie july 2010 he will join in August 2010

A young rider will join in August if you contact him before August and additionally have ticked the trainee option.

He will join you at the end of the season if you contacted him before the season ended.

He will join you at the end of the NEXT season if you contacted him after the season ended.

It is logical in itself but still VEEEEERY stupid that it has been programmed like that.
