The worlds are over a month away in Australia, but as the first teams are announcing their lineups now, this is the place to discuss the races for the Rainbow Jersey.

No Ciolek and Gerdemann? Ciolek would make a good lead-out man, and Gerdemann would be an outside bet with an attack. |

Added the 6 Dutch confirmed riders, the Norwegian teams for all competitions, Tyler Farrar, Mark Cavendish, and the seven Italian riders rumored to be in the Italian team already.
EDIT: Also added the rider entry numbers for the Elite Men

Gerdemann's had a very long season and Ciolek is injured again

Same for Farrar, but I'm going to keep that for all riders, regardless of the absoluteness of their riding, until the official announcement. |

I agree with jph. Swift would do well with the experience. Cavendish isn't going to win this year, so they should really give Swift some experience with a view to next year's pancake-flat sprinters' fest

I think we will be seeing Cavendish in the WC stripes next season, a fully fit Cavendish will be unbeatable I think, Come on the Manxman.

I've never seen this course in action. Is the hill steep at all? Enough to potentially cause a break up in the last few kms?
Or is this a likely sprint finish? |
