(little bit about me) Hi My Name is Nick Evans im 16 years old and like many people i take my cycling seriously and one day dream of turning pro
abit far fetched and you probably hear that alot but... with determination and training anything is possible.
Im a huge fan of Lance Armstrong and everything he stands for. And he IS my cycling idol. He's basically who inspired me. ( also alot of people say that)
With PCM 2010 and the options to create riders i thought what the hell im going to make me and create a PCM Story to go along with.
There's two parts too my strory
1.The virtual fantasy side
2.The real life story of a boy trying to make it in the world of cycling.
Im going to start with the PCM side of my story and then give a brief side to me and the real life aspect of the story:
Okay first of its time to choose a team and a background to my fantasy succes. so here we go and enjoy! (The start of this story isnt far from truth)
July 7th 2006,
A typicall rainy day in Blackburn. Nothing to do and all thats on TV is the usual midday crap. Dad's fiddling with his newley bought laptop and mum's doing a bit of ironing. i could go upstairs and play on the xbox or even search for a bit of lego to play with if i really have nothing to do. But me being my lazy self i pick up the remote and start flicking through the channels. The channel surfing became less of trying to find something to watch and more of just something to do! i hadnt really looked and the channels im about to come accross! Dont get me wrong i love sport and infact im a Rugby Enthusiast but Nickelodeon did it all for me ( i was only 11) 410 comes flying past the screen and i get i glimpse of the words LIVE:Tour De France so i skim back through and press enter! WOW i think to myself. I'd always loved cycling but never had i seen anything quite like this. Cycling to me was flying up and down the coldasac on BMX's with my friends. But this... this looked diffrent. My Dad heard the voices of the commentators and quickly jolted away from his laptop and took a seat next to me and exclaimed ' God i didnt realise that the Tour was on''
Too save time the next few weeks envolved me getting up early ( 10:00am  ) to watch the pre race show and of course the live feed!
from that day i knew that Road Cycling would be something i dreamt of doing!
1st January 2010 Ive just be named the youngest proffesional cyclist to ride alongside the greats of alberto contador, Lance Armstrong and Bradley Wiggins.
Lets get this straight im 16 and i have the chance to train and even ride with SKY Proffessional cycling team. an Unbelievable thing to even get your mind around. Im big for my age infact i come in at a tall 6''2 and extremley fit for my age. ( Well you have to be )
Im one lucky boy. Obviously racing for this team in PRO Tour races would have to wait but i would get my chance soon enough.
It was extremley daunting and hell yeah i was scared i gone through pre season with the team but i was seperated in to the young riders with the likes of chris froome but non the less it felt good! And what was ahead was to be pain and another trip to the south of France for pre-season training!
( Ill do more on the fantasy side when i start with the team)
But in that there is alot of truth not the part of me being part of one of the best teams in the world but that will come in time hahaha!!
but the part of we finding 410 thats all true!
So this is a good part to explain about me!
I love cycling i train everyday and like many wish to make it into the cycling world! Im soon to join The North Lancs cycling club and hopfully that will be the start of my Career so this part of the story is were i let you into my life and see how well i can do and too prove with determination i can go along way!
So i hope you follow this story and i hope i do well and be the first PCM.DAILY follower to turn pro but theres alot of work for me to do

And tbh your story about just one rider ''inspired'' so to say for me to do one as i was never planning on making a story
and the fantasy side is just to add the game into the story and to keep the thread alive whilst i wait for news and updates on the real life side

Fantasy:
RIDER stats:
with my rider stats ive set them to a level were i can get better but i didnt want them to be unrealistic for my age and level of rider.
so they consists of 50's the higher 50's being were i will advance the best over my career and i have also set a potential of 7 so i can get better over time without being stuck with very low stats
ill post picture of the stats very shortley
also the stats are were i think i am as a rider now or will be with training
(im 16 but obviously its begining of the season so im 15 :L)

Im filled with such excitment to the new season! i have had a sit down with the manager to run things through not only is this the newest team but im the newest rider and its pretty daunting!
The manager explained to me in plain English that i wouldnt get to ride these upcoming races in February whioch i fully understood but cmon im 15 and im the luckiest lad in the world!
im on 1500 a month and obviously if i win anything which i wont but if i ever do that adds a nice sum of money!
But to be honest im not in it for the money and i would do this job without a second thought for free
My contract states im a trainee that means well im training but i can be called up whenever the manager wishes me too race but i dont expect that to be anytime soon!

Ive just had a talk with Geraint. What a ledgend, its amazing how similar we are.. he started cycling at a really young age as i have and he's got plenty of experience!
he's given me some tips and he's helping me here in monaco during pre season!
oh thats something to add!
the places we get to visit unbelievable.
and a perk of being a trainee i get to go with the manager and the team to pro tour races to get a look to what its like which is pretty awsome and i get to train with them.
i havnt had a talk with Bradley but he's deffiantley the father figure of the team. Although he doesnt like to be known as that.
well i look forward to every day. and the weather is bloody hot here in monaco but thats something ill have to get used too

Team Update:
Well the team did okay in the AUS NC with a good 3rd place from sutton in the RR
The Team for the Tour Down Under is about to be named and dont worry i have know hopes of getting chosen but atleast i get to travel with the team anyway
Well The team was named and i thinks its good enough to contend with the GC and defiantly contend with the sprinters jersey

The bookies had put Boonen Boassen Hagen and Davis as favs for the first stage but to be honest i think greg Henderson will win todays stage

probably the best day of my life so far ...
ive just realised how lucky i REALLY am because what a win i just witnessed today
i had a feeling Greg would win and he did our support car was right at the front and i managed to get this picture ...

Waking up at 6am is something i wont get used to.
the riders, staff and me headed downstairs from the hotel we were staying in to get breakfast and then straight onto the bike for a warm up and fatigue training. Whats weird is that im not racing but im doing the exact same schedule as the rest of the team but im not complaining!
well its half an hour until the riders set off stage 2 i think is another flat stage and if so id love another sky win but hey... im just lucky to be here!

half way through the race there's a feeding station and thats one of my duties
heres a pic of the support team getting ready for the riders we still had to wait a while after this picture which was taken by yours truley
