Vuelta Al Tachira finished!
Download (61 MB)
Stage 2 (Download)
(Stage 2 in the 61MB-Package seems broken; therefore the second Download link. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!)
Download also contains "Tachira DB" which is CyanideDB-based. Just put it in the database folder; select stageraces --> T1 --> last entry: Vuelta al Tachira. I'm even less experienced in DB making; this one is just for testing purposes. Stages linked, some realnames, teams and cyclists pre-selected...not recommended for careers!
(New) Download: Irish ITT Championship
(New) Download: Irish RR Championship
(New) Download: Tallinn - Tartu GP
(New) Download: Circuito del Porto - Trofeo Arvedi

Uhm ... what? They are based on the real route of Vuelta al Tachira. |

I don't know for sure, but it's difficult to compare due to the bad scaling (the profiles on the website make e.g. the 1st stage seems much more difficult than it really is).
If you look at the mountain profiles, they are close to being identical. |

I'm sorry, for start it's excellent work. I know it's hard to make TTT like IRL. But stage 5 is far from close to being identical.

You're wrong, Starch. Look at official stage 5 profile - do you really think, that they will climb up 3200m during 3,5 kms? It would be slope of 91%, so I doubt if this official profile is accurate.
TTT is fine as well.

@starch27
You're correct; stage 1 is kind of a compromise, cause there's this problem using the (in this case partially) same roads in time trial.
But at least the last two kilometres can be fixed; should be more alike the first two...
Stage 5 is (in my opinion) the way it should be. Anyway, I smoothed the tough climbs (in stage 4 & 6, too) a bit, cause I don't like small descents during long uphill sections (causing strange results; no fun to play in 3D; ...)
I'm using the same page to get the gpx-data and Iearned to question; the printed height-profile in special (as others stated).
This Tour is kind of crazy, but it's not ridiculous. |

Thanks for kind words and criticism!
Was a long way to go...
, but Stage 7 is done.
Download (including updated DB)
Up next:
(Not that tough) 17 km Mountain-TT from Rubio to Concafé.
btw. does anybody know why the results in Giro stage 16 (Mountain TT) differ that much depending if you simulate or play 3D (simulated results IMO much more realistic)?
And is there any way in DB-Making to get realistic results in 3D as well? |

Stages 8 and 9 finished!

I recently revisited the Irish ITT Championship I once made. Just some minor changes (not route related).

I really like the way youve done the Irish TT route - linking the roads of opposite direction together. Nice work!

Circuito del Porto - Trofeo Arvedi (1.2 Continental)
was the first "real" race I once made, ...so there were many things to redo.
Made some minor changes to the route and pimped the fluff.

Nice job.
I also think that all profiles match to their real route.
Stage 5 must be wrong on the official profile |

Great work on the Vuelta al Táchira, congrats and much appreciated that you went through the trouble creating this race.
But could it be that stage 2 is corrupt? Crashes constantly in the stageviewer here, where also your other Tachita-stages take enormous loading times ? Though the ones I managed to load so far look stunning
