Here are some questions from someone knew to pcm and cycling:
1. I am doing a career at Saxo Bank. Do I want to register for other races than the ones I am already registered for? If so which ones?
2. The only real cycling race I have watched is the 2010 Tour de France. Cancellara did not race with Saxo Bank then. Would it be wise to have Cancellara race in the Tour de France? Wouldn't he have a good chance to win the Time Trials and Stage 4 (the one with cobblestones)?
3. In training camps does it make a difference if you go for 10 days or something less than 10 days? If so how much of a difference?
4. What is the best and eisiest way to win a Northern Classic with Cancellara if no one with a really good cobblestones attribute breaks away? Do I try to win it in the sprint or attack at a given distace from the finish?
5. Is there a place where I can watch the other cycling races besides the tour de france?
1. I am doing a career at Saxo Bank. Do I want to register for other races than the ones I am already registered for? If so which ones? That is completly up to you, but remember that to many race days have an effect on their top form.
2. Cancellara rode with Saxo? He won the 19th ITT stage? remember?
3. In training camps does it make a difference if you go for 10 days or something less than 10 days? If so how much of a difference? Yes, the longer in training camp - the more effect you get on the skill.
4. What is the best and eisiest way to win a Northern Classic with Cancellara if no one with a really good cobblestones attribute breaks away? Do I try to win it in the sprint or attack at a given distace from the finish? Attack with 4-5km left. And ride on 99% Short relay. If nobody else has attackt.
5. Is there a place where I can watch the other cycling races besides the tour de france? Eurosport if you got the channel? Edited by hillis91 on 23-08-2010 17:07
1. That's up to you to decide. I race all Pro Tour races - other than that, I race the continental races which make sense in relation to the riders' fitness (warm-up races)
2. Cancellara did race Tour de France with Saxo Bank...
3. I don't use training camps, so I don't really know.
4. Northern classics are usually won by attacking and making the race hard. Saxo Bank has plenty of good cobble riders, so you may want to attack with e.g. Breschel first and see what happens.
5. I don't know what your tv channels broadcast, but there are usually plenty of streams available (for other races) on the internet, check cyclingfans.com. The Vuelta is starting on Saturday, and there's definitely going to be plenty of broadcasts.
