Kim Kirchen is back in the Netherlands to defend the title won last year but it will be really hard for the ageing Luxembourgian to make it 2 in a row with the likes of Gilbert, Pozzato, Ponzi, Efimkin, Monfort, Flugel and many others riding here.

Most fun race I played last year, great course, should be thrilling. |

Pozzato with his sprint will be dangerous, i hope Kirchen makes use of his outsider position.

4th isn't bad, i would say perfectly "timed" attack just before the downhill to get a gap and stop the others from attacking . Decent amount of points though.

Hmm, I guess another Podium from Ponzi's what? 3rd? race of the season, is ok. The result will have to do. I think my racing starts up again now for Wiggle, so I hopefully will climb back up the team rankings once more.

The first hilly c1 race of quite a lot this season, fairly low stat winner and some of the big stars such as Pozzato and Gilbert really fail to live up to expectations. Good recovery from a couple of so so races for UBS, likewise by Ikea.
Wiggle have returned and for me are still huge promotion favourites. Rjc: You have picked the right races for your riders as far as I can see (though Trentino looks a bit of an iffy one). Think Wiggle will be storming up the team rankings in the next months races.

Proni should be doing better there.
Despite getting two of two goals so far, it's all going a bit pear shaped for Vespa. Opposite of last year when the team did well but missed out on goals. |

Solid start of the hilly season for me, this race is always a little bit about luck, so I'm quite satisfied with a couple of points which got Efimkin.

Trentino an iffy one? In what way? I think my strongest Tour squad is there seeing as I only have Cataldo and Nocentini as mountainous riders (this season). And, it is my only Continental mountainous race, due purely to being Italian, and I won it last season.
