Hey guys.
Basically I was wondering whether or not I should buy PCM10. I've read some good and some bad things about it, and I can't decide if I should buy it, or just stick with PCM 09. |

PCM09 has a better gameplay. So no GC rider will win flat stages against top sprinter and there won`t be 150 riders in a mass sprint on the Cauberg like in PCM 10.
On the other hand in 09 there was almost never a successful breakaway. Plus much better graphic in 10.
So there are very good points for both version. I have both and I enjoy both. |

Stick with PCM09.
PCM10 looks really nice but the gameplay ruins it. Unless it is fixed, steer well clear of it. |

Yes, the GC riders won flat stages in PCM09 as well. Been a problem since the introduction of the new system in PCM08.

But it wasn`t that bad than in PCM 10.
I played a lot of GT`s in 09 and never had a totally flat stage with Contador beating Cavendish.
In PCM 10 this is on almost every stage. |

PCM10 pluses:
New graphics
New 'detailed' simulation (somewhat broken however)
PCM09 pluses:
Actual sprint trains
Ability to drop sprinters on climbs with a hard pace with your climbers
More realistic energy usage while in the relay (PCM10 is horrid)
Not have people who will never win a mass sprint win, nor do you have people making up 20 bike lengths in the last 500m like you do in PCM10.
Game crashing... PCM10 does it quite often.
If you care about gameplay: PCM09
If you care about pretty graphics: PCM10
Overall PCM10 utterly fails in my book. It's damn near unplayable if you care about gameplay. If you wanna throw darts blindfolded and sim the whole way then PCM10 is your thing.
They still need to bring back the rider select with the mouse wheel, fix the dang sprint trains, fix the actual sprints, fix the energy usage for the computer controlled riders up hills, fix the energy usage for human controlled riders in relay, actually add in hold position but use no more than XX effort button that they've been talking about, and lastly fix the gaps between riders. 10-15 seconds between riders does not equal no gap. It's all problems that have plagued the franchise and cyanide isn't intent upon fixing any of it as they have their niche market (only cycling sim) and are hoping to get ppl to pay for a poorly designed game with updated graphics which are WELL behind the curve regardless.
