Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic games

yea, the first youth olympic games are there, they started last saterday
these are the games for boys and girls between the age of 14 and 18

there are 204 countries participating
186 events in 26 sports
and 3531 athletes paricipating in Singapore

the first gold medal was for Japans, Yuka Sato at the Girls, thriatlon event
also theres a nice system at the cycling event

4 participaters for a country:
1 girl and 3 boys
the girl ride Bmx, Mountainbike and time trial
one of the boys ride the bmx, on of them the moutainbike, and on of them a time trial
And all three of the boys ride a road race


Current medal top 10:
1. China 5-3-1
2. Russia 4-4-3
3. Azerbaijan 3-0-0
4. Australia 2-3-0
5. Italy 2-2-1
6. Canada 2-0-3
7. Japan 2-0-0
8. USA 1-2-3

After Sato with the first gold medal of the Youth olymic..
has another athlete written history!
Kim Tuan Thach won the first golden medal for Vietnam ever, they didn't won one yet at the summer or winter games in the past

yeah, i've been watching bits of these.
Been saying the cycling competition format is very interesting.
