I may sound a bit lame, but I am talking to ANYBODY who are thinking about buying PCM10: Save your money, and if you manage to find a copy of PCM09, I will recommend that you buy it. Install the PPDB giant, and you have the most realistic cycling game that is made to date.
PPDB with Plakker at the head has quit all attempts at making PCM10 playable, and are working on a 2010 DB for 09.
PCM10 is just completely lacking everything with the gameplay, the AI is terrible. The only change is the graphics, but I guess what people care most about, is the gameplay, not the graphics.
PCM10 is probably the worst game i have bought ever.

I don't really understand your hatred for the game. Actually i do think that the game has improved compared to the other pcm's. I see an improved AI on the mountains with packs and people sticking together and so on. The only flaw i see is that the AI doesnt create any trains for the mass sprints. Whoch i do for myself now
I had a good buy and i bet a lot more people would agree with me. |

Just to check, E_Hagen, have you played a full season of PCM10 yet - racing in 3D mode?
Everyone has their first impressions but personally, Im reserving full judgement until Ive done at least 1 season

I think that the game is brilliant. A bit flawed, but I can live with that. And yes, you sound lame.

The game is brilliant, i love the game and the improvements from last year. But the fact that the AI don't make sprint trains are pretty enoying....

PCM10 beats PCM09 in quality. Easy match. Sure, it has some flaws, but the game is still better than PCM09.

Same as SportingNonsense. I am just using the stage editor at the moment, so my longest career was in middle of April I guess with 1.0.8.0
My 1.0.3.0 is in Down Under, so I will wait to make a decision which one is better.
But up to now I had lots of fun with the game and I really like the stage editor |

I also think the game i great! Have surely played at least 50-60 hours. But what difficulty are yo guys playing on, because I've heard that on har/extreme the other teams make sprint trains, and not only uses the McEwan methos with taking someones wheel. But I haven't tried mysel, i currently play on normal. |

the game is new, im in July on career and its MILES better than PCM09 even on my old PC, the game is so much smoother and doesn't crash like previous versions. Like every year we must wait till the bugs are sorted b4 its perfect but this game has longevity which previous versions didnt have, love the History page of each rider. |

Great graphics, fine management, absolute balls gameplay though. I completely agree with E-Hagen. 4 seasons in with Vaconsoleil and this game is so frustrating. The sprinting is terrible, sprints with over 150 riders in most hilly classics and to cap it all off most mountain stages still have a a peloton of around 50 riders with 5km to go. I even had a 28 man sprint to win atop the Zoncolan.
Personally i wish i hadn't spent the £30 on this title as I'm all about the gameplay myself, but each to their own. |

I would take PCM10 over PCM09 anyday. I'm currently doing a story with PCM09, but also have been playing PCM10 when I can get a chance, and after going back and forth between games PCM10 is much more fun to play overall. It's getting hard to write my story since I enjoy playing PCM10 so much. And I have to agree that PCM10 has better longevity than PCM09 just because I could never get past 2 or 3 seasons in 09, but just got fired in 2017 (7 Seasons) in PCM10 and it is fun watching history be made in the progress, plus the fact that it is stored in the game. Sorry for the long post, just trying to voice my outlook on the game.

While I agree that 10 is better than 09, I'm not going to get 11 until I've got proof they bothered patching whatever major flaws 11 is going to have.
That's a first, I've gotten PCM on release day four years in a row.

Ive got through my first season in PCM10 and love how smooth it simulates/loads days. This also applies for loading a 3D game and dont need to wait 5 mins for PCM to create a 3D race.
The annoying thing is that patches and DB changes are getting a little annoying when im playing my sorta serious career |

I didn't want too lol.
Basso was the only rider who even tried to escape. It was on hard mode and I only had Hoogerland in the front group. I would rather have had my ass wooped by 5 mins or so as it would have been more realistic.
I mean kudos to cyanide for creating some nice graphics and better efficiency, but really every terrain type (Hilly, Flat, Mountainous and cobbled) has dreadful gameplay compared with previous versions. I don't really see how this can be argued with.
