DB for noobs

So, basicly my question is: How the hell do i use the Database editor? (Official) what ive done so far is:
1: Im opening my carrier file, that i want to edit
2: I edit the riders and so on (I pressed on the button down in the right corner)
3: I exit, and try to play and my changes aint there
4: Ive figured out that if i open this XML-file in the editor, it has saved all my changes and so on. (Found the file in My Documents > PCM10 > Database > Exports > Carrier thingy, File name is basicly Export.
As far as my mind goes, im pretty sure i have to place this file another place, and where the hell is the Database editor for noobs thread?
It should seriously be sticky (If it excist) |

the official Database editor is only for databases, not for carrier files. You can't open carriers with it |

the db editor is for db and your carrier and you CAN open both files  |

Allright, ive tried and failed and now ive managed to make the database. There is only one problem:
My database doesnt work on my carrier. Lets say that i have fixed Contadors sprinting, so its worse than it is supposed to be (He always win flat stages...) When i start normal games, his sprinting skill is what i want it to be, but when i start my carrier the spriting is back to the orginal level.
So: How do i use my custom database in carrier mode? |

If you have started a career using a different DB, you have to edit the save game too (My Docs/PCM/Database/Solo). |

Thanks for the help, ive finally managed to kill valverdes pro sprinting 
But, Now there is another thing bothering me: Ive located the carrier file, and i want to move it to a memory stick. THe proublems is that i cant. So: How the hell do i get my carrier file to another computer?  |

I was and am able to copy, rename, move and delete the saves. Please give us more information, what your problem is. |

WEll, basicly im trying to move the file to an USB, and i get an error message saying: "Can not copy (name of carrier): Can not create the map or file |

You try to MOVE and the message is "cannot COPY"????? What OS are you using????
What comes to my mind:
Check if the USB is not locked or full.
Close the game before copying.
Try to copy the cdb to another location first.
Only copy one file not a folder. |

Done done done and done, but i managed to fix it now, just converted it do Export, copied to memory stick and fix the thingies on my other computer
