Go Toasty!

Keep up with the best with Wiggins in the mountains and then own everyone in the final TT Grin

Thats the hope, just done the prologue and think i got some ok results video will be up in 30 mins or so

Looking forwards to this.

Going to be a long arduous three weeks for Wiggins and Team Sky. Here is hoping Wiggins did well in the Prologue. I found that 74 on the effort bar throughout the course made for a winning time with Cancellara, and gave decent TT times to everyone else on my Saxo Bank team last time I played.

No wonder why there was some panic amongst the GC riders, with Gerrans (probably) provisional GC leader at the time they tried attacking. Great day for Simon Gerrans and Team Sky for sure.

Yeah i know i did not expect an attack then, even though it's a good day i fear by what we've seen of wiggins performance today it's going to be more about cutting loses than gaining time, but who knows anything could happen Smile

Malkael
Yeah I very much suspect that cutting losses and not gaining time could very well be how Wiggins goes in to the mountains. "Protection" will be handy in the battle to keep Wiggins as fresh as possible so he can (try to) respond to any threatening attacks by fellow GC contenders. The bits of green\yellow\red energy it could save for Wiggins may come in handy.

The only place i can try and get time back is the TT but then again contador has very good TT stats himself so it's going to be tricky

Malkael
Last time I played the Bordeaux ITT that actually happened. Wiggins gained about 20 seconds on Contador that stage. But I got a feeling that 20-30 seconds will not be enough. If it were Cancellara you could feasibly get 1 minute or more back on Contador with a good time trial under the right conditions.

Amazing what a difference those slightly better skills in time trails can do for someone like Cancellara over long distances when things go right.

Yeah, today i'm doing stage 4 and only remembered it was cobblestones a few minutes ago so we could gain some time there

edibletoast
How will the sky team cope on the cobbles?
You will have to see Wink

Shame you could not manage to gain any time over Contador in Stage #4. It is good that some of the other GC contenders lost time though. Hopefully that gives Wiggins a better chance at a top 10 or top 3 finish. That was an impressively large crash there on the cobblestones.

edibletoast
Yeah if only wiggins was slightly better on cobblestones then he could have got a bit of time
It seems that this tour de france is destined to be epic, with the crash and the breakaway already making it on stage 3 who knows what it could happen (as long as it goes in my favour Pfft)

Great sprint win there for Boasson Hagen. Thought there for a second that Cav might have kicked off his wheel and won but apparently he could not. Must say that Radioshack are not having a great tour currently. Must be the second good rider they have had that has crashed and lost a few minutes.

Team Sky still going strong. Until we hit the Alps and begin to sort some of the boys from the men.

The more good guys that fall the higher wiggins can hope to get Smile, stage 8 is where we see what the rest of the tour will be like ...
