A 4-days race in Belgium which will be mainly decided in the first cobbled stage and in the final time - trial.
With the support of Thomas, Blythe seems to be the main favorite to take the GC home but he will have to win some time over riders like Hushovd and last year's winner, Leif Hoste, who have stronger time - trial skills.
For the first stage, Blythe, Hushovd and Hoste are the main favorites but we could see a surprise as Pokerstars have brought a very strong team here, with Kluge supported by Van Impe, Geslin and Ingels.
The second and the third stage are entirely flat stage which are very like to end in mass sprints. A lot of the favorites can also sprint such as Hushovd, Blythe, Thomas or Kluge but the main favorites should still be Vantomme and Casper.

Hope Hoste hangs on to the pack at stage 1 and delivers the time trial of his life.

First of my goals is coming.. I hope Thor will have his days in this race and will beat Blythe and Hoste. Then I have Casper for sprints too and De Gendt for the time trial. I hope for a massive package of the points and for the overall win.

Well the big story in last years race was the wind, this tore the race to pieces in the opening two stages. If the wind blows again I am guessing that a team with a good sprinter will be the ones to get an advantage from any potential splits.
Going on previous races in this year Pokerstars have been to the fore as a chasing team and with some good cobblestone riders could be a real threat. Milka shouldn't be shy from this sort of duty either they have the obvious star quality here in Hushovd.
Should be a real battle royale between those teams, Highroad, Bbox and of course SN's brits. Don't particularly fancy the chances of Intesa, Bacardi and Falcon.

You can hope but I doubt he will beat Hushovd, who is stronger in the sprints and the time - trial. I guess you'll have to hope for some wind splits in the next 2 stages and that you're riders will get into the right group.

shame that ITT is too short, Blythe could be found in troubles also...
looks like nothing but bad luck can stop Hoste for his way to glory though...

Excellent stuff, and with any luck, he can grab some more bonus seconds before the time trial - if he is to have a shot at taking the GC

46 seconds? Not that bad, let's hope for some good luck with winds, bonus seconds in sprints and strong time trial for Thor. And in overall it's quite funny to see my almost all team come to the finish in positions 11th to 15th.

A very interesting stage, I am sure SN will be pleased to see Blythe really land a victory. Though, I am sure that Blythe needed to drop the Bbox man - though Blythe is not a bad sprinter he could get something from the next two stages before that time trial.
Outstanding strength in depth from Pokerstars and Milka, perhaps they will look to pile on the pressure in the wind... Bbox have only got 4 riders left is that right???  |

Indeed - a GC win is always unlikely for him here, so the cobbles stage was always the main target of the race, so success.

Good start for Hoste. A 2nd is not bad. Also he has some time on the sprinters that could win (Hushovd...). Hopefully, he'll manage to win the race due to TT.

Would have been better if Kruopis got that extra 35 seconds, but 8 in the GC isn't bad at all. And with a 69 TT stat alot has to happen to lose that 8th spot.
