Does AI teams, train and gain form?

Lets say, Contador has a climbing stat of standard 82, does he get better when controled by AI for tdf ? so his form will be good there and his stat will be 83 or 84. I dont mean training camps, because i already read somewhere that ai doest do this.

Thx Cool
