are you sure you have 2km rout on both sides of the place you put your start/finish line?

The checkered flag just means the end of the route, not the finish line. What you need to do is go into route/checkpoint and then on the right side of the screen select "start line" or whatever its called, you need to click on add and then click again on the course where you want the start line to be (needs to be at least 2km from the first flag), do the same for the finish line and for intermediate sprints etc... Be careful for TTs, you need to change the options slightly, but i'm sure you can work that one out on your own! |

For timetrials there is a specific start line "Time Trial Start" or something so that rather than having the usual start under the banner the riders depart from the ramp. Then for intermediate timechecks you need to use a sprint point and once it's created change it to the timetrial option on the right of the screen (there should be a list with all your sprints there when you are in route checkpoint mode)
Tell me if you have any problems and I'll give you a detailed guide!
Edit: You might need to change the options for the finish line similarly to intermediate checkpoint, I can't remember!
