What port needs to be open to host a game in gamecenter?
It seems, everytime I host and I get to the screen where it says 'wait' or whatever, people cant get into my game.. ? any suggestions

As you can see I've opened these ports on my router but I still can't seem to host anything on Gamecenter. Am I doing something wrong, or did I forget anything?

Are you sure that you're using 192.168.0.1 as your IP?

That is not your computer IP address.
Try pressing the computer name tab, your computer name should come up on the pop-down list, choose it, and then press the arrow button beside the computer name box to automatically add your real computer ip...

Thanks btw cruetrue..

And are you sure the ports need to be seperated by just a ',' ?
Maybe you can do that, but I dont know.

I searched 'my IP' on google and got the above, but when I change it the port forwarding section on my router I get this error:

I.P. Adress for 'hosting should be within LAN subnet
(192. 168.0.0)

I think I got it. That was probably the reason. Thanks for helping and the quick response.

Edit: Nevermind Still not working. When I type the things in ipconfig on cmd to I use IPv4 as my internal IP or Default Gateway?

I used IPv4 and it still doesn't seem to be working.

Could it be my firewall?

When you have run cmd, type in 'ipconfig'.
Some lines of text should come. It should say something like Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection, under that should be some more lines of text and it should say Ip address in one of the lines, and that is your internal ip.

Mine for example is: 192.168.0.19x - yours should be close to that.

if you have a fiberlink cable in your computer, you can host verry easily
if you have 2-3 computers in house and have router, don't torture your time to open ports(port forwarding)because you will open doors for "something unexpected",you will have some holes in your system security

Ok thanks. I've now changed it to what I think is correct.
It was on the line:
IPv4 Addres.......................... 192.168.0.25X ((just put that there so a hacker cant do his stuff to my computer. You should do the same) Wink

But it still isn't working. Do I have to allow it with my firewall. I've heard of that before.

Try giving the ports a box each instead of seperating with a , like you did. One port in tcp one port in udp, and so on..

Ok I've now put them all in seperate boxes but still no dice. It must be a firewall problem or else I have no clue.

Follow this if you need help opening ports: (This is also what I used)
https://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv...8%26t%3d17

But I'm still having problems. I have no clue what-so-ever as this time it seemed like it would work. Any secret tricks?

Still having troubles. If I could see a screenie of what the open ports page should look like on the routers homepage because I feel I must have done it wrong.

Can you show a picture of ipconfig/all ?
Dont worry its you inside ip adress, there will be on whole different ip adress to the www. Your router has a diffrent ip for the outside.

De seperation bij comma's should be fine, make sure that your firewall allow pcm and gc go inside and outside to the www

Okay guys..
I have tried several things but nothing seems to work.
- I have tried to open som ports that CT told and ports that I read about on PCMSpot although I speak Danish.
- I have tried to turn off my Windows Firewall
- Tried to use OnlineArmor instead of Windows Firewall
---------------------------------------------------------------
So that's why I ask you: Any ideas?
