Fun Fact: This year is the 400th anniversary of the assassination of Henry IV, to celebrate this the castle in Pau is lightup every night - but he was murdered in Paris - rue de la Ferronnerie to be exact - he was stabbed to death and France lost a much loved King. The murderer was tortured in Paris in public.

What happened today was great for this stage.
Saxo Bank has to do something, because Schleck can't gain it all back on the tourmalet. |

How I'd love to see the stage end after 140 km 
If there was anything good coming from todays stage it might be that Schleck and Saxo Bank maybe will try something on this stage, the problem is though, that I can't see how
It will be nice if Saxo Bank tries to make something out of this stage. 2-3 men in the breakaway, and Andy coming after.

You really got to hate the Tour organizers for this route. Two HC mountains followed by 60 km of downhill/flat ... what? Incredibly stupid. |

I completely agree. There are 4 difficult climbs, yet there's close to no chance at all of any action between the favorites. Waste of mountains.
Charteau, Pineau and possibly Moreau or Cunego will probably go in a breakaway for the climbers jersey. The breakaway will win the stage, and nothing at all will happen in the peloton. |

Agreed. This stage is quite similar to one of the stages from last year's Tour -- wasn't it the one won by Haussler? |

Haussler won one in the Vogees, you are thinking the two last pyyrene stages last year where there was 50km from the last top to the finish. |

There was another stage sorta like this where LL Sanchez won and then Rojas got 4th bringing in the peloton. Maybe similar can happen again? |

yes, yes... Fedrigo and Pellizotti in breakway and stage with three of this stages climbs: Aspin, Peyresourde and Tourmalet

My guess:
Hr. Riss orders N. Sørensen to kamikaze into Contadope so he crashes, and then put entire Saxobank infront of the peloton, so they can pay back..  |

yeah but it was also the stage where Freire finished third
Charteau will probably settle the fight for the polka dots for good, while the favorites will finish all together which will ruin Schleck's fans hopes he can win time over Contador in a stage like this
