Fun Fact: July 19th 1910, the Tour's first ever day in the mountains, on a stage to Luchon, oh look we're using the same finish and 2 of the same mountains. An historic day tomorrow.

This stage screams Samuel Sanchez. He looks really strong and will probably do something.

Hopefully it'll be more entertaining than the stage today.

I think Sanchez is thanking God that this stage ends with 20 km downhill and not in Port de Bales.

Only one stage win by a Spaniard so far. It's time to take control in the Pyrenees.

Oh yeah downhill finish... perfect terrain for Gesink and Menchov Pfft

Breakaway like in the Madeleine stage to take the stage win? I think so

I got a feeling that this stage will be all about Lance Armstrong. He makes it in a break and do get over the top with one-two other riders or maybe alone. And he takes it in the downhill.

Words to live by
"What would Lance do?"

I want to see Andy dropped like a stone tomorrow by Contador....

Reading his comments after the stage, he really is an arrogant prick.

I didn't read the comments, but....yeah, he is.

Saying after last year's Tour that he's superior to Contador was bad enough.
Accusing Sastre of being a bad teammate, especially after the comments of the team's mechanic was even worse.

But the moment he called Moncoutié "retarded in the head" out of the blue with no provocation, that's just being an asshole.

He is quite the jackass. Fact.

Well, Moncoutié is not especially of the smartest kind either, but I guess that goes for a vast majority of pro cyclists. Not all of them are engineers like Jérémy Roy.

I know a lot of Belgian riders who finished their university studies first (a reason why many of them seldom break through before they are 25 and done with studying).

And I know a lot of Dutch riders who were doing a bachelor or even master study before they quitted in their 2nd/3rd year because of lack of time...

I imagine it's the same in many countries, so I don't think the vast majority of riders is stupid

Or Marco Pinotti.

Then again, I probably shouldn't mention Pinotti. He hates me.

Anyway, I can't find anything dickish in Schleck's post-stage comments.

You asked for it - why?

I read them on the danish site feltet.dk, may be bad translation, but he says:

"If Alberto had been going badly, i would have attacked him, but he wasn't so bad today. He was actually(Wink) doing okay".

He also says he was clearly better than Contador. That boy sure has got a hell of an imagination.....

Well, if Andy did not believe that he is better than Contador, then he might aswell just throw away his jersey now. Of course a top rider needs to be self
confident.

Knowing you, you not only asked for it, you went so far over the line that you caused severe trauma to onlookers.

But he's way to cocky, we saw today that the two are evenly matched, yet Schleck claims he's better after every stage...
