85 is max, yes.
When editing the skills you can set it to 90, but it won't have any effect. |

You just have to go on a training camp with a rider with 85 in the stat. Then it raises for 87. |

I sent him on a training camp...
It's perfect if u want them to do well in the grand tours...
In my save, Edvald won the Tour de France with almost 15 min, and I won the teamcompetition with more than 2 hours. |

But I really don't think 87 is any better than 85, since the game doesn't make any difference between 85 and 503495843 - 85 is the maximum, anything more looks nice but doesn't have any effect.

the only thing is that a rider with over 85 will lose his stats slower, f.example: j.ullrich has 82 in MO, he reaches his decline age, and will fall to around 78 in one season, but if he had 95, he would drop to maybe 90, and still have fitness of an 85.

Yeh so if you wnat to edit a dtabase and make an older cyclist 85 in something, make them 95 instead. |

if u have 87, you will be better than 85, as a friend of mine cheated, and gave one of his riders a mountain stat of 99, and noone had the slightest chance to follow him in the mountains in TdF, and that was against two people with 85 in mountain skill in his game. |

That sounds weird. Cyanide has said that it doesn't make any difference, but I guess it's worth testing. |
