This is my first story, so if you guys could give me some tips, please, feel free to post them!

What happens when you have a rich daddy who spoils you all the time? The kid just keeps on searching and finding new ways to make even more profit of their dad. Now, for this story, we have a kid who's rather obsessed by cycling and one day he asked his dad,
'DAAAAD!'
'Yea?'
'I want to start a cycling team!'
Que?!
' A C-Y-C-L-I-N-G Team DAAAD!
'Ooh well, whatever, just make sure you find some sponsors, because I ain't gonna pay anything!
'But daaad, please, pay my wage then... I don't mind about the cyclist's wages, but please dad, I need a wage...
Ooh well, whatever...

So, what sponsors will a man in his twenties choose? Dumb question hea?
Alcoholic beverages!
And when you say alcoholic beverages, you say ABInbev, one of the biggest producers of alcohol, with beers like Stella Artois, Anheuser Busch and many more... So the boy (Let's call him Nikita, 'cause that's a funny name), wants ABInbev as sponsor and I don't know how he managed to get them, but AB was prepared to sponsor the team!

As secondary sponsor, Nikita picked Jameson, real Old scotch Whiskey, because he likes to drink loads and loads of whiskey, and Jameson just is his favourite brand. And somehow he managed to get sponsored by Jameson too... Very weird, Nikita should be prime minister in Belgium, he would solve al the problems there!

Then suddenly, Nikita started feeling hungry... So he opened the fridge and found there a family pack of Lutosa's patatoes. He fried them, oh no, he ordered James, the butler, the frie them and so he enjoyed some Lutosa potatoes. And he suddenly, he saw the light... Lutosa must be the third sponsor of his team!!

This is how Nikita found his three sponsors.
Very logically, the team was called 'The Nikita Worshippors'. But the sponsors weren't too happy with that name, so the team has been recalled: 'ABInbev-Jameson'. Lutosa hasn't given much money, so too bad for them.

Nikita has now worked for more than 2 hours without sleeping, so now it's time to go to bed for Nikita, he's too tired to work...
Stay tuned!

Nikita thought that managing a team would be a heck of a lot of work, and seen as Nikita doesn't like work, he searched and found someone to take over the hard work, me, now Nikita will just be running away with all the honour.

Now, seen as I haven't received much money (€ 350.000), I had to start signing some young, promising and most important cheap cyclist, and maybe one or two big shots, with the money remaining.

And now, I'd like to introduce to you our first signing, the first signing of the brand new team ABInbev-Jameson:

Signing 1:

Darwin Pantoja
Darwin (lool, what a name) is 19 years old and he's from Columbia. He's been living in Belgium for some years now, he's been brought here by some talent scout, but he didn't managed to make a breaktrough, so now I'm prepared to give him a second chance.

Darwin is a rather good climber and he can get over some hills, so in the smaller stages, Darwin might be our Leader, but we don't know anything yet, that'll depend on other signings.

Darwin has a rather complicated personality, which means we have to handle him with care, he gets mad very fast, so beware...

I'm very proud to announce to you our second signing!
Signing 2:

Roman Dronin
Roman is a 17 (!!) year old, very promising Uzbekian cyclist.
His stats are very good for such a young rider and with the help of a professional team like we are one, he might grow out to be a serious GT contender. I hope he'll still be riding for my team by then...

Finally! A Belgian cyclist joins ABInbev-Jameson! This one is for AB, our main sponsor, which is a Belgian beer brewer.

Signing 3:

Jude Breinich
Jude is an 18 year old cyclist from Belgium. Just as the first two signings, Jude can deal with a hill and even some real mountains, but he must improve those skills a lot. He's rather young, so I don't think he will have much problems with improving either his mountain stats (61) and his hill stats (57).
A promising rider has joined the team!

img228.imageshack.us/img228/326/pcm0026.jpg

n30k
Seen as we have some relatively good climbers, we could use some time trial specialists who could assist the climbers in a team time trial so we wouldn't lose too much time in the GC.

So I started to look out for, again, young, cheap and talented cyclists.

I don't know why, but an unknown power in me said that I had to go to Australia. I told Nikita about my plans, and he agreed, and bought me a ticket to Australia, economy class, darn!

In Australia, I started to look out for the cyclists I described above, and on a local time trial contest in Sydney, I spoke to the winner of that contest, and he immeadiatelly agreed to sign a contract for ABInbev!

Signing 4:

Damion Drapac
Damion is 21 years old and lives in Sydney, Australia.
He's got some time trial abilities (58), but to be a real help for the team, he should improve them some more.
Seen as he's got a rather good sprint and he can make some pace, he could be a perfect lead-out man for a future sprinter for the team.

img96.imageshack.us/img96/2653/pcm0028.jpg

On that event in Sydney, I suddenly saw someone in the public. I went a little closer and then I was sure it was him. I talked a little while with him and suddenly he says he's unhappy in his current team. When I hear this, it feels like there's some firework exploding in my head. This is my opportunity to sign one of the most strongest Australian time trialists! I proposed him to sign my team. He answered 'Well, why fucking not? It can't be any worse than my current team'.
I acted like I didn't heared the last part of his sentence and took him to my van, where there was a contract waiting for his signing...

Signing 5:

Timothy Gudsell
Timothy is now 25 years old, so he has gathered some experience. His experience will be very important for my team, seen as it'll mostly consist of young riders.
Besides his experience, Timothy can ride a heck of a time trial (stats: 70), and both his experience and his time trial ability made me want to sign him, and so did I! Timothy can also be part of the train that I'll make for the sprinter that I want to join the team.

img687.imageshack.us/img687/2358/pcm0034.jpg

Feeling very pleased with myself for signing 2 good time trialists, I left Australia and went back to Belgium, home sweet home!

Just returned in Belgium, I received a phone call from a talent scout.

'Is this the manager of ABInbev-Jameson'

'Yea, that's who you're talking with'

'Are you interested in a young, promising rider who could manage to get a good result in northern classics?'

'Depends on how promising and talented that rider is'

'I'll send you a detailled report about him'

'Very well'

I decided to give it a shot and after I received the report from the scout, I went to Gullegem (a town in Belgium Wink), where there was a U23 race in which that young rider starts.

The race was just on and over the radio, I received some new concerning the young rider. He has had a flat tire and is now 1'30'' behind the pack. Surprisingly, less then 20 km's later he managed to get back to the pack on his own. After he rested a few km's, he attacked... The pack gave him some minutes but then upped the pace for their sprinters. But the young rider gave all he got, and the pack just reeled him in when he passed the 1km sign...
I was simply impressed by his power, on the road, but mental too so that I went to him and offered him a place in my squad.

Signing 6:

Hendrik Van den Bossche
Hendrik is only 19 years old and Belgian. The sponsors were very pleased when they heared another Belgian has joined the team. Hendrik is specialized in northern classics. He seems to be able to survive cobbled sections and he has got some attacking abilities. The main problem for a future classic win is his rather low hill ability (56). He'll be working on that from now on and in a few years, we might see him achieving a good result in a northern classic like Paris-Roubaix or GP Vlaanderen.

I had a look at my team and noticed that i didn't had any sprinters... And remembering the great Nikita's words ('Cyclism is sprinting! I really don't like seeing some witty men riding over some stupid mountain, that ain't spectacular! I like sprinting, and I want to see our team competing in mass sprints! Understood?).

So, I had to go and look for some sprinters. I placed an announcement in the newspapers. 'ABInbev-Jameson is lkin for sprntrs, cntct +32xxx.xx.xx.xx.'

Surprisingly I received a phone call from 2 relatively good sprinters, and the milk man, who asked if I liked his skimmed milk.

Signing 7:

Mathieu Drouilly
Mathieu is a 23 year old Frenchman who should be able to get the team some good results in bunch sprints. But, I'm afraid that he just isn't strong enough to compete with the best sprinters of the continental tour, so don't expect much results this season from Mathieu, he'll focus on improving his sprinting skills.

img25.imageshack.us/img25/299/pcm0029.jpg

Signing 8:

Joshua England
Joshua is a 23 year old Australian who -I think- should be able to compete with the better sprinters of the continental tour. I forecast that Joshua'll achieve some nice results in mass sprints, but still he needs to improve his sprinting skills a little. The thirth Australian rider is in! I think I should be looking for an Australian sponsor too...

img805.imageshack.us/img805/9089/pcm0030.jpg

Feeling tired of responding all the phone calls, I think I'll get some sleep, and tomorrow, more signings will be announced!
Stay tuned!

So, now it's time to visit some family who's moved to Belarus. Don't ask me why they moved, and why they moved to Belarus, of all places... But yea, family remains family, and mom insisted on visiting her sister, so whatever... Here I am, in the middle of nowhere, called Belarus.

Surprisingly, there were some races in Belarus! They know what the wheel is used for, even in Belarus! Great!

But, my enthousiasm soon felt down, none of the riders I saw was good... All the good Belarussian cyclist have left Belarus for ages now... But I really wanted to have a Belarussian cyclist in my team, so that I have a reason to visit Belarus more often, they have beautiful locals here, you see.

Signing 9:

Ferruh Suleimanov
Ferruh is an 18 year old Belarussian cyclist. He's been given a contract because of his fighter mentality. Seen as his skills aren't that good, I'll probably just let him train this year, and maybe, he might ride some minor races, we'll see about that.

img80.imageshack.us/img80/9137/pcm0040.jpg

*driing driing* *driing driing*

'Hello?'

'I heard you've signed my good friend Ferruh for your team.

'That's correct, who am I talking to?

xxx

'Aah, you, I think we met eachother when I was manager of Quick-Step, didn't we?'

That's correct.

'Ok, and why are you calling me? I don't believe it's for some small talk, is it?

No, you're right. I've told you before that Ferruh is a good friend of mine. And when I became a professional, I've promised Ferruh that one day, we'll be driving for the same team.

'Ok... And what has that to do with my team?

'I want to be part of your squad man!'

'Ooh... And what about your current contract with Quick-Step?'

Screw them, I've ripped it into pieces!

'Ooh well, ok'.

Signing 10:

Branislau Samoilau
Branislau, aged 24, origin: Belarus.
Branislau is a quite good climber (mountain stats: 74) and he can get over some hills too (72). Normally, Branislau will be one of the leaders of the team. Branislau could get some nice results in smaller stage races.

img94.imageshack.us/img94/1327/pcm0039.jpg

n30k
Here you have some more signings!

Signing 11:

Alexej Iakovlev
Alexej is 20 years old and he's from Ukrain.
He has got a rather good downhill skill (67) and a relatively good fighter mentality (61). Tough he has to improve all his skills much more.

img443.imageshack.us/img443/6762/pcm0035.jpg

Seen as my team would like to perform well in stage races, we could use some more time triallists.

Signing 12:

Grant Weatherhead
Grant is 18 year old and from Ireland. His time trial skill isn't that good (56), but I think he can improve that skill a lot, seen as he's young.

img413.imageshack.us/img413/4222/pcm0043.jpg

Signing 13:

Hannu Pekurinen
Hannu is Finnish and 20 year old. He has a rather good developped time trial skill (60) but just as the other youngsters, Hannu will have to improve all his skills.

img594.imageshack.us/img594/6710/pcm0038.jpg [/img]

Signing 14:

Lukas Kloucek
Lukas is from the Czech Republic and he's 22 year old.
He's also been bought because of his time trial skill (63), but when he gets over a hill, he can ride one of the best downhills of the pack (stats: 78). If he improves his hill and mountain and his time trial skill, Lukas will be a very big cyclist one time.

[img]https://img197.imageshack.us/img197/6200/pcm0036q.jpg

Now, we've got some relatively good time triallists. But I still wanted to improve our mountain section. So I've signed the following 3 riders.

Signing 15:

Aritz Etxebarria
Aritz is a 21 year old Spaniard. He can get over some mountains (60) and some hills (61), but like all young riders of my team, he needs to improve all his skills.

img693.imageshack.us/img693/5052/pcm0031.jpg

Signing 16:

Noe Gianetti
Noe is from Swiss and he's 20 year old. His mountain skill is 61 and his other skills aren't that good, so, as said above, he will have to improve his skills if he wants a contract for the next season.

img718.imageshack.us/img718/8072/pcm0032.jpg

Signing 17:

Luigi Gitto
Luigi is 23 year old and from Italy. His mountain stat is 61 and he'll have to show me some improvement at the end of the season, otherwise he won't receive a new contract...

img696.imageshack.us/img696/8195/pcm0033.jpg

So far, the team has only signed one real big shot (Branislau), and Nikita wasn't very happy that I've only signed young riders, he wants some big names in his team! I said to him that I don't think I was able to fullfil his wish, so he'll search for a big shot himself. I wish him all the luck.

n30k
And Nikita got what he wanted! He signed 2 (!!) big names! Amazing, now the team is ready to compete with other continental teams!

Signing 18:

Rein Taaramäe
I don't think I need to introduce Rein, do I?
Well ok. Rein has got some very good mountain skills (76) and some good hill skills (74). He's also able to ride a good ITT (72) and his recuperation (73) is good enough to compete with the best continental drivers for some beautiful wins!

img641.imageshack.us/img641/1600/pcm0041.jpg

And now, I'd like to introduce you with proud, the absolute biggest name who has signed for ABInbev-Jameson!

Signing 19:

Edvald Boasson Hagen
No need to introduce him hea?
Edvald will be our lead sprinter, our lead time triallist and will be one of the best hill cyclists of our team! It's just amazing that Nikita was able to sign him! He's a real reinforcement for ABInbev-Jameson!

img231.imageshack.us/img231/7669/pcm0027.jpg

n30k
The team roster:

img203.imageshack.us/img203/3766/pcm0023.jpg

n30k
So now, I'd like to show you the sponsor goals.

img85.imageshack.us/img85/6637/pcm0022c.jpg
And for those who don't understand the beautiful dutch language, I'll translate the goals Wink.

-Win circuit Franco-Belge
-Win Urkiola Igoera - Subida Urkiola
-Be the KoM in the Tour de San Luis
-End in top 10 Driedaagse de Panne-Koksijde
-End in top 10 Halle-Ingooigem
-End in top 10 Brabantse Pijl

Well, the goals don't seem too unrealistic, but it'll be hard to achieve them all.

n30k
Note: I will now play whole january, so it could take some time before you guys see some new posts.

n30k
I just saw that I've already raced the first stage of the Tour de San Luis. I've decided to just post the imported results and no or just a few screenshots, seen as it that will take too much time, I hope you guys understand.

The Tour de San Luis is very important for our sponsor, because one of my season goals is to be KoM in this tour. I was lucky that there was only 1 mountain sprint, 15 km after we started with the race. I've decided that Taaramäe has the best chances to bo KoM so I said to him 'make sure that you win that first mountain sprint'. Well, so did he.

Stage 2 Tour de San Luis.

img443.imageshack.us/img443/2653/pcm0028.jpg

This stage had 3 mountain sprints. 2 on the road, and 1 on the finish. We decided to take part in a breakaway and let Taaramaë rest in the peloton for a possible stage win and points for the KoM jersey. Jude Breinich would be our man in that breakaway. Jude's only command was to take all the mountain points he could.

img267.imageshack.us/img267/297/pcm0022h.png

On the first mountain sprint, he placed 2nd and took 4 points. The 6 points were taken by De Patre, who was now virtually in the KoM jersey.

On the second mountain sprint, Jude tried to surprise his colleagues but he was countered by De Patre again. Jude ended 4th, so no points for him. De Patre was now KoM with 6 points advantage.

img441.imageshack.us/img441/7065/pcm0025.png

Jude's job was done, he waited for the pack to come and did some work for Taaramaë. Whole the team worked to get the breakaway caught, but on the final hill, the breakaway still wasn't caught.

Suddenly Barbosa attacks and Taaramäe counters. Taaramäe went over Barbosa but suddenly he lost his rythm or so, and was reeled in. At 1,5 km to the finish, Barbosa Taaramäe and Vicioso were in the lead. Taaramäe has lost too much energy in chasing the two that he couldn't compete with the 2 men in front of him. Barbosa won the stage, Vicioso was second and Taaramaë 3rd.

Barbosa is now leader in the GC, points and mountain.
Taaramäe is second in the KoM competion with the same amount of points as Barbosa and leader in the young cyclist competition.

img64.imageshack.us/img64/8598/pcm0027.png

This was a good stage for the team, but I can't be too happy with the result. If I had given better orders to Taaramäe, he could have won the stage and took the KoM jersey. But we're happy with the U25 jersey as well.

To be continued...

With proud, I'd like to introduce to you our first version of the ABInbev-Jameson team jersey. This is just a first version, but we'll use this one 'till the final version has been made by the manufacturers. So from now on, you'll recognize your favourite team by this jersey:

Thanks to woutertvt for making this first version.

NB: The shirt doesn't look too great in game, but some people are working on better versions Wink.

Okay, having problems getting the shirts into the game. I'll spend some time to that,

Stage 3 Tour de San Luis.

Seen as the parcours is flat and there are no mountain sprints, I've decided to let the team do nothing at all. No participation in the breakaways, just sit back in the peloton, at ease. I've got Taaramäe protected, because when it come to a bunch sprint, he might get some good results.
This is the first race for the team in their new shirts, who don't like that good, but we're working on that.

The race started and 'till km. 90 nothing happened. Suddenly Wackernagel from Team Sparkasse attacks. Nobody follows him.

He gets 3'30'' from the pack, but at about 20 km to go, they reeled him in.

At 15km to go, 16 riders manage to get away from the pack, the second sprint was just 1 km further, so I tought we would reel them in after the sprint. But I was wrong. Luckily, none of the 16 riders was a danger for Taaramäe's GC, so I decided not to do anything. The breakaway got to the finish with 1'20'' advantage of the pack.

Taaramäe is getting himself ready for the sprint. He tries to find the wheel of Barbosa. He managed to get that wheel, but he began sprinting too early. Barbosa got over him and one the sprint of the peloton, Taaramaë was second.

The next stage is an ITT in which I hope to get a little closer to Barbosa. Taaramäe should be able to ride a good ITT but it's the beginning of the season, so his form isn't that good. Let's hope Taaramäe performs well!

As you can see, this is a rather flat parcours, perfect for Taaramäe, but unfortunately also perfect for Barbosa.
So Taaramäe's objective for today was to win some time on Vicioso, the second in the GC and to reinforce his leading place in the U25 classement.

Here are the race results:

So, I'm quite happy with the results of the stage. Taaramäe has won 8" on Vicioso in the GC and has won an incredibaly 40" on Pereyra in the U25.
Today was a good day for ABInbev-Jameson.
Tomorrow, we'll try to take the KoM-jersey back.

Preview Stage 5 Tour de San Luis

img829.imageshack.us/img829/1574/pcm0001.jpg

Team meeting:
I told everyone how important this stage could be, with 2 mountain sprints very close to eachother. The plan for today is:
- Taaramäe will be fully protected by one of the riders 'till he reaches the foot of the mountain in the final. From there on, he'll be practically on his own, because none of my other riders is very good in climbing.
- The team will have to work hard today. I don't want any breakaways further than the foot of that mountain, because Taaramäe needs those mountain points! So, as soon as a potential breakaway is getting close to that mountain, let's say about 20 km's, the remaining riders of my team will be making pace in the peloton, so that every breakaway'll be caught when the climbing work for Taaramäe starts.

If my plans work, than Taaramäe'll be wearing the KoM-jersey with a rather safe lead in tomorrows last mountain stage of Tour de San Luis.

Stay tuned!
