I've just bought the game and I must say, I'm really enjoying it. However, I am having issues with 3d race. Even on the lowest graphics settings it stutters when I am in the peloton. I was just wondering what graphics card would help me to improve my graphics? Currently I have a cruddy Intel Chipset 965.
PS I am a novice when it comes to PC parts!! |

What graphics slots does your motherboard have? Is it a PCI-E motherboard? |

Oh and if you don't know this, try the "Scan My Computer" option here:

I have a GeForce 8800GT , 1GB GDDR3 RAM
in a Intel CoreDuo 6600 + 3GB DRR3 compuer
which should be more than enough, but i can't set the graphics at its maximum, not even middle.
I tried the first time to set a high details setting( i had to select 'Force graphics settings' , but the game crashed in the first stage i played
I'm quite dissapointed with this

You might have to update your display drivers.
Maybe the stuttering is caused by some other programs extensively using the CPU while you play the game. Some Anti-Virus programs are known to do so. Try it out by shutting it down. (You could disconnect your computer from the www if you feel unsafe.) |

Sorry for not replying for so long. I managed to figure out what the problem by looking on an Intel forum. My graphics card didn't have any 3d shader support. I simply had to update my graphics card like Lachi said to get this feature activated (easier said than done considering Sony had modified the graphics card!). Now, as well as running AMD Fusion, I'm able to reach average settings.
Thanks for your help |
