I thought this version had brought back buying cyclists from other teams. I can sign free riders for the end of the season fine, but I can't enter negotiations with teams for riders under contract as stated in the instruction booklet, it just says "this rider is not free" or something like that. Also no one is bidding for my riders.

Does anyone know if transfers are possible??

Transfers are not possible. The reason is that it practically never happens in cycling (unlike football).

Thats the exception, and team's didn't like it.

Unfortuantely it happens more and more. Gerdemann, Wiggins, Some BMC and Radioshack rider... I think it will happen even more in future if there are well financed sponsors like Sky.

Yes, we may be going towards more football-like transfers, but reality is still that it currently is a very rare exception.

One could argue, though, that there are several other elements in the game which are not realistic, e.g. the promotion/relegation.
