Se on a Norwegian forum a dude say he can't play multiplayer online with his friend coz his game says version 1.0.1.8.5 while his friends game says 1.0.1.8 (like mine)

Is there a manually downloadable hotfix called 1.0.1.8.5 ?

There's been a few rumours about an upcoming (beta) patch, but I'm yet to see it released anywhere.

He claims he got it from autoupdate at first startup. Sounds fishy to me, unless cyinide put it out and removed it again just after for some reason.

Unlikely. A Beta Patch has been released now, though.
