I tried for the first time to use the DB Editor, mainly so i could make Jan Ullrich, Alexandre Vinokourov + change some attributes if riders and it seemed to work until i started a career. (I started the career using the custom.db and got all the riders i wanted and with a custom team i made)
Then, as soon as i started the career I got welcome messages from HTC Columbia + my custom team. I also already have the sponsors + budget of Columbia. Yea, that doesn't seem too bad, until i found out that for some reason around 7 months of the first year is done, yet i'm still in January. I thought it might be a glitch, so i simulated to the "Tour of Australia" and was signed up, and was on my calendar. Got to the first stage, and it just simulated as though it wasn't even on my calendar. Basically it won't let me play ANY races with my team.
I then deleted HTC Columbia from my custom db, but the same thing happened... Going to go try to play a stage race, although that probably wont work either.
My regular db works fine, i just want to play with some oldschool riders, PLEASE HELP! And as you may be able to tell, i'm not amazing with computers, so if anyone has any help try to dumbify it down for me.
That sounds very weird - and perhaps also a one-time issue. I'm not sure how much work you did on the DB, but did you try making the same changes again?
Also make sure that you edit a database (those in My Docs/PCM/Database or Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/Database), not a save game (My Docs/PCM/Database/Solo).
Ah, i think that might be the problem! i have a bunch of the db stuff i did in my Solo folder. I'm guessing if i delete the db stuff there it'll work. Either way thanks for the quick reply and i'll see what i can do
i deleted the db stuff in my Solo folder, and my Custom.cdb is in the folder you described up there, but i'm still having the problem, plus if i try to do a simple stage race tour de france my game crashes when i try to simulate the first stage
I told you to try to start over with your custom DB (make the changes again), this time making sure that you're editing a a database, not a save game (as that sounded like the issue).
